Tamil Nadu MBBS Application Form 2019 - The Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Tamil Nadu will release Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2019 application form in the second week of June. The application form must be filled and submitted in offline mode only. Candidates who will fulfill the eligibility criteria set by the authority can fill the application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2019. It is also mandatory to secure the minimum qualifying marks in NEET UG exam for admission to 3,947 MBBS and 985 BDS seats offered by government and private colleges located in the state. The last date to fill the Tamil Nadu MBBS application form 2019 will be third week of June.

While filling the TN MBBS application form 2019, aspirants need to enter their personal details, NEET 2019 marks and rank details, domicile, category, communication and other relevant details. Based on the NEET MBBS marks filled in the state admission form, the counselling authority will prepare the merit list of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2019 for admission to 85% state quota seats. While, from all the government medical and dental colleges, 15% seats will be reserved for candidates shortlisted for All India Quota seats. The seat allotment process for AIQ seats will be done by Medical Counselling Committee (MCC).

Tamil Nadu MBBS Eligibility Criteria 2019

It is important to check the eligibility criteria before filling the application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2019. The basic Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2019 admission criteria is mentioned below.

  • Candidates applying for MBBS and BDS admission in the state must be a citizen of India.

  • Students must have completed at least 17 years of age as on December 31, 2019

  • They need to have passed in all subjects of qualifying examination of Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the main subjects.

  • General category aspirants must have passed Class 12 with 50% taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English. While SC/ST/OBC and PH candidates must have obtained 40% and 45% respectively in their qualifying examination.

  • It is important for aspirants to be a permanent domicile of Tamil Nadu.

  • Candidates who have studied from Class 6 to 12 in the state will not be required to submit the domicile certificate, while aspirants who have completed Class 6 to Class 12 partly or completely outside the state need to provide the same.

  • NEET cutoff 2019 prescribed by NTA must be secured by candidates to fill the application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2019.

How to fill Tamil Nadu MBBS Application Form 2019?

In order to fill the application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2019, candidates need to follow the procedure mentioned below.

Step 1: Download Tamil Nadu MBBS admission form 

DME, Tamil Nadu will make the application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2019 available in the second week of June. The link to download the same will be provided on this page as soon as the authority will release it. The offline application form of TN MBBS 2019 can also be purchased from the government medical and dental colleges. 

Step 2: Filling Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2019 application form

In this step, aspirants need to enter the application details by writing or encircling the codes. The following are the details which must be entered clearly in the long hand or in the coded form, as specified in the application form.

  • Personal details - Name of candidate, ID proof number, Parent’s name, Gender, Date of birth, Nationality and others

  • NEET details - Registration number, roll number, total and subject-wise marks scored  

  • Academic details - State where Class 6 to 12 have completed, School board, name and address of school with state, year of passing, qualifying examination, subject-wise and total marks obtained and other asked information

  • Category details - Caste name, code,  

  • Parent details - Occupation and income of parent/guardian

  • Domicile details - Native place details

  • Communication details - Mobile number, email ID, address with Pin code

  • A passport size photograph should also be affixed on the space provided 

  • Signature of candidate and parent must be done on the designated space

Step 3: Payment of application fee

The application fee of Tamil Nadu MBBS/BDS 2019 must be paid offline. The amount to be paid as the fees is mentioned in the table below. Candidates will be required to deposit the registration fees through Demand Draft drawn in favor of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai - 600 010, payable at Chennai along with the filled in application form. It must be noted that the application fee to be paid is non-refundable. 

Note: Candidates who have purchased the Tamil Nadu MBBS 2019 application form from the government medical and dental colleges need not submit the demand draft again.

Step 4: Final submission of Tamil Nadu MBBS admission form 2019

The application form must be submitted in offline mode only. Aspirants must send the filled in application form and demand draft along with the relevant documents to the address mentioned below. These documents must be sent in an envelope of 24 X 12 cm superscribed as “Application for MBBS/BDS Course - 2019-20 Session” on or before the last date. Aspirants need to submit only one application.

Following are the list of documents which are required to be send along with the application form. Candidates must ensure that only the photostate of applications will be send as the enclosed documents will not be returned to the aspirants. 

  • Tamil Nadu MBBS application form (filled)

  • NEET result 2019/Score card

  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheet (photocopy of both sides)

  • Class 12 hall ticket

  • NEET UG 2019 admit card

  • Transfer certificate

  • Certificate for proof of study from Class 8 to 12

  • Domicile certificate with the supporting documents

  • Permanent community certificate (if applicable)

  • First graduate certificate (if required)

  • Income certificate (if applicable)

  • Special category form(s) with Demand Draft and relevant documents, if required

Candidates who will submit the application form will be included in the Tamil Nadu MBBS merit list 2019, based on their NEET scores. According to the state merit rank, candidates will be called for counselling process.
