Tamil Nadu MBBS Application FormTamil Nadu MBBS Application Form 2018 – The tentative date for the release of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2018 application form is the second week of June 2018. The Directorate of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu will release the application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2018 online and offline as well. Candidates need to mandatorily fill in the Tamil Nadu MBBS application form in order to be eligible for the state quota seats. Through the Tamil Nadu MBBS application form 2018, candidates will be applying to 3456 MBBS seats and 1201 BDS seats in the government as well as private colleges. The last date for submission of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2018 application form is the third week of June 2018. The candidates who fill up the application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2018 will be included in the state merit list and will be able to attend the counselling for Tamil Nadu MBBS admission 2018. The admissions will be taken on the basis of the NEET scores and as such candidates who have secured the required minimum percentile in the NEET UG examination 2018 are eligible to fill up the Tamil Nadu MBBS application form 2018. Candidates are required to download the Tamil Nadu MBBS 2018 application form from the official website, fill it up and submit it offline.

Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS 2018 – Eligibility Criteria

  • Candidates applying to Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS 2018 admission must be citizens of India (including OCI).

  • Candidates must have completed 17 years of age as on December 31, 2018.

  • Candidates need to have passed in all the subjects of the qualifying exam of the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (Academic) with minimum eligible marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology conducted by Tamil Nadu State Board/any other equivalent board in one attempt only.

  • Candidates must also have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and Biology and English as subjects. They also must have passed in the above-mentioned subjects individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks (SC/ST-40%, SC-PH/ST-PH/OBC-PH/GEN-PH-45%) in aggregate at the exam in order to be eligible for filling up the Tamil Nadu MBBS application form 2018.

  • Candidates applying to Tamil Nadu MBBS 2018 must be domicile of Tamil Nadu.

  • Candidates who have studied from Class 8 to 12 in schools located in Tamil Nadu do not need to submit the domicile certificate while, the candidates who have studied class 8 to 12 partly or completely outside Tamil Nadu, have to produce the same.

  • Candidates need to obtain the required minimum percentile in the NEET 2018 UG examination in order to fill up the application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2018.

How to fill Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS Application Form 2018?

Step 1 – Downloading the Application Form

The Directorate of Medical Education, Tamil Nadu will release the Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS 2018 application form on the official website of the same. Candidates need to visit the site and click on the ‘download’ button to download the form. The candidates can also purchase the application form directly from the Government Medical/Dental colleges.

 

Step 2 – Filling up of the Application Form

The Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS application form 2018 will consist of 2 parts: Application/admission form and OMR sheet. The candidates need to fill in the application form legibly and clearly in the long hand or in coded form depending upon the item they are filling. For example- Details like the “Communication Address” need to be written in longhand and objective items like ‘instruction medium’ which are listed in tabular form can be filled in coded form as a code in a box is assigned to them. Candidates must encircle the code which shows their response to that item.

 

Step 3 – Payment of Application Fee

The fee for application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS 2018 will have to be paid offline. Candidates are required to attach a demand draft of the required amount drawn in favour of “The Secretary, Selection Committee, Kilpauk, Chennai – 10 payable at Chennai” with the main application form. The fee for Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS application form 2018 will be non-refundable. Candidates who have purchased the application form from Government Medical/Dental colleges need not attach the demand draft again.

Step 4 – Submission of the Application form

The Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS 2018 application form has to be submitted offline. Candidates are required to submit the complete application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS 2018 along with required enclosures and 3 self-addressed envelopes (24 x 12 cms) by sending it in a large sized cover (38 x 28 cms) superscribed “APPLICATION FOR MBBS/BDS COURSE- (YEAR) SESSION” on or before the last date. Only one application form is to be submitted by candidates applying to both MBBS and BDS course. The address for submission of hard copy of applications is:

Documents to be enclosed with the Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS Application Form 2018

Candidates need to submit only the photocopies of the documents along with the application form as the enclosed documents are not returned to the candidates. The documents to be enclosed with the application form and OMR sheet are as follows:-

  • Application form and OMR sheet

  • NEET score card

  • Class 10 and 12 marksheets (both sides of the marksheet should be photocopied/xeroxed) of first appearance

  • HSC hall ticket

  • NEET score card

  • Transfer certificate received after completion of HSC or equivalent exam

  • Certificate for proof of study from Class 8 to 12

  • Domicile certificate with supporting documents (if applicable)

  • Permanent community certificate, as applicable

  • Special category form(s) with Demand Drafts and relevant certificates (if applicable)

  • First graduate certificate, if applicable (should be submitted with application form only)

  • Income certificate (if applicable)

  • Special category certificate as applicable

  • Sports certificate as applicable

  • Candidates applying to Tamil Nadu MBBS 2018 under the NRI quota need to submit copies of passports of themselves and their parents and letter from embassy/employer indicating parents’ residence proof

Eligible candidates who will complete the process of filling up of application form of Tamil Nadu MBBS 2018 will be included in the Tamil Nadu MBBS merit list 2018. Such candidates will have to complete the process of web choice filling in order to be eligible to attend the counselling of Tamil Nadu MBBS BDS 2018.
