Bihar MBBS BDS Eligibility Criteria 2018
The candidate must be a citizen of India.
The candidate must fill the online application form for Bihar MBBS 2018 admission.
The candidate must qualify NEET 2018 with minimum required percentile.
The candidate is required to pass Class XII or equivalent examination with English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
The candidate belonging to unreserved category must score at least 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology in aggregate. For SC/ST/BC/EBC category, it is 40%.
The candidate must be medically fit to pursue the course.
The candidate must not be less than 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2018.
The candidate should not be more than 25 years of age on May 7, 2018, which means should be born after May 7, 1993.
The candidate who belongs to any of the following categories is eligible for Bihar MBBS admission 2018 -
The candidate whose parent/s are the permanent residents of Bihar state.
The candidate whose parent/s are refugees in Bihar state.
The candidate whose parent/s are residents of some other state but working in Bihar as State government official.
The candidate whose parent/s are in a transferable job in Bihar and Jharkhand state.
The candidate whose parent/s are working in Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) of Government of India.
The candidate whose parent/s are working with United Nations and are posted in Bihar state.
The application form for admission to Bihar MBBS 2018 was made available in online mode. The registration form for Bihar MBBS admission 2018 was released on June 22, 2018. The last date to fill the application form of Bihar MBBS 2018 admission was June 26, 2018. The candidates were required to register online and enter their personal details like Email ID, and Mobile Number. The login ID and password created by the candidate will be used in the further rounds. The candidates could submit the application fees for Bihar MBBS 2018 admission either through Bank Challan or Online Payment (Net Banking/Credit Card/Debit Card). The application fees for Bihar MBBS admission 2018 was INR 1,200 for General/BC/EBC category candidate and INR 600 for SC/ST category candidates. The candidates were advised to take a print out of the application form for further reference.
The merit list of Bihar MBBS 2018 admission was released on June 28, 2018. The candidates were provided with a UGMAC ID after successfully submitting the application form. The merit list consists of these IDs according to which candidates were called for counselling. The merit list also provided candidates with the date and time on which they have to report for the counselling sessions of Bihar MBBS admission 2018. The second round of Bihar MBBS 2018 counselling is to be held on August 11, 2018. Candidates who had not registered for the first round of Bihar MBBS counselling 2018 can register afresh from August 5 to August 8, 2018, while the already registered candidates can fill in fresh choices. The first round of counselling process for Bihar MBBS admission 2018 was held on June 29, 2018. The counselling was conducted in offline mode. the cutoff rank after the first round of counselling was released after the process was over. The candidates were informed about the allotted date, time and centre one day prior to the counselling session. The candidates are required to verify the specified documents at the time of counselling. The admission to Bihar MBBS 2018 is taken on the merit-cum-preference basis. Therefore, the candidates are advised to choose options according to their score. There will be two rounds of the counselling session and if the seats remain vacant then a Mop-up round will be conducted.
