Karnataka MBBS Merit ListKarnataka MBBS Merit List 2018 – Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has released the verified list of candidates for round two after the conclusion of the document verification session. The document verification session for the mop-up round was conducted on August 2 and 3. KEA conducted the document verification session for round one from July 19 to July 20, 2018. Karnataka MBBS merit list 2018 i.e. the verified list of candidates includes the candidates who have attended and successfully verified their documents during the verification session. The first allotment result of Karnataka MBBS BDS admissions was declared on July 13, 2018. KEA had earlier released the rank-wise Karnataka MBBS 2018 merit list of verified candidates on July 4, 2018. The merit list of Karnataka MBBS 2018 is the verified list. KEA conducted the document verification session for round one from June 28 to July 3, 2018. Candidates who attended the document verification session were required to download the document verification slip. KEA had released the Karnataka MBBS 2018 Merit List of applicants on June 27, 2018, which implies the candidates included in this merit list were eligible for the document verification session. The first round of counselling was conducted from July 7 to July 12, 2018.

KEA also published the list of candidates who were directly eligible for the counselling process and are not required to attend the document verification session. The Karnataka MBBS 2018 merit list was published after the conclusion of the document verification session and included all the candidates who applied for admission to medical and dental courses of the state and verified their documents.

Only candidates who had filled the Karnataka MBBS application form 2018 were eligible to attend the document verification session considering they were included in the provisional merit list. The Karnataka MBBS merit list 2018 of applicants was released along with the schedule for offline document verification. The inclusion in this Karnataka MBBS 2018 merit list means that the candidate were eligible to attend the counselling sessions. The merit list included the names of the candidates in the increasing order of their NEET UG rank. Karnataka MBBS merit list 2018 consists of candidate’s name, candidate’s rank, Karnataka state rank, category and NEET UG score.

 

Karnataka MBBS BDS Document Verification Session 2018 (Mop-Up Round)

The document verification session for the mop-up round of Karnataka MBBS BDS counselling 2018 will be conducted on August 2 and August 3, 2018. The session will be held in offline mode which implies that the candidates will be required to report at the allotted centre. Candidates who have registered for the mop-up round of counselling between July 27 to July 30 or those candidates who have registered earlier but were not able to attend the document verification session are eligible to attend the session on the allotted dates as per their state merit rank.

Karnataka MBBS BDS 2018 Verified List - Round Two

The verified list of candidates for round two has been issued on July 22, 2018, in online mode. Candidates who registered for the round two of counselling and attended the document verification session were eligible for the inclusion in the merit list. Karnataka MBBS merit list 2018 reflects the details of the candidates like their name, Roll No., NEET score, NEET AIR, CET No., Application No., Gender, father's name, mother's name, and date of birth. The merit list will also display the regional category clause and reservation category if appropriate documents were submitted for the same during the document verification session.

Karnataka MBBS BDS Document Verification 2018 (Round 2)

KEA has released the schedule of Karnataka MBBS BDS document verification session which will start from July 19, 2018. Only those candidates who have registered from July 16 to July 18 are eligible to attend the session. If candidates have registered and verified their documents earlier but have not submitted Minority Religious, Minority Linguistic, Hyderabad Karnataka 371 (j), NRI Ward certificates, then they can submit the relevant certification considering the reservation is claimed in the application form. Candidates are required to report as per their NEET All India Rank.

Karnataka MBBS BDS Merit List 2018 - Applicant List

The merit list of Karnataka MBBS BDS 2018 was released with two days delay on June 27, 2018. It included the candidates who filled the application form of Karnataka MBBS 2018 or had registered with CET. The merit list reflects the NEET Roll No., CET No., name, gender, category, Kar/Non-Kar (whether the candidate is a domicile of Karnataka or not), nationality, NEET score and NEET rank. These candidates were required to attend the document verification session June 28, 2018. The state merit rank is allotted to candidates after the conclusion of the document verification session.

Karnataka MBBS BDS Document Verification Session 2018

The document verification session started from June 28 and was conducted till July 3, 2018. Candidates who have successfully verified their documents are included in the verified merit list of Karnataka MBBS 2018. The candidates who had already verified their documents for CET are not required to attend the session. The list of such candidates has been made available here. These candidates could also download the verification slip from their student login made available here. The session was held at the helpline centres across various cities of Karnataka state. The document verification for candidates who have applied for NRI/NRI Ward/OCI/PIO/Foreign Nationals/Category 2-8 could only attend the session at St John's Medical College, Bangalore.

Karnataka MBBS BDS Merit List 2018 Eligibility

To be eligible for Karnataka MBBS merit list 2018, a candidate needs to secure minimum required percentile in NEET 2018, fill the application form and attend the document verification session. These candidates have been included in the provisional merit list of Karnataka MBBS 2018. The candidates can check here the minimum qualifying percentile and equivalent marks of NEET 2018.

Highlights of Karnataka MBBS BDS Merit List 2018

  • Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is responsible for Karnataka MBBS 2018 admission process.

  • The provisional merit list of Karnataka MBBS BDS 2018 admissions is published after the conclusion of document verification session. The list is prepared in accordance with the document verification schedule. 
  • The list is only available in online mode.
  • The candidates are advised to take a print out of both the merit lists for further reference.

Tie-breaker of Karnataka MBBS BDS 2018 Merit List

The tie-breaker is used when two or more candidates score same marks in NEET 2018. Thus, to pick the best out of two candidates, the following criteria will be used to break the tie -

  • In the first place, the candidate with higher marks in Biology is preferred over the one with lesser marks.

  • If the tie-breaker situation still persists, then the candidate with higher marks in Chemistry is given preference.

  • Candidates with the lower number of wrong answers in NEET are given preference.
  • If the above three tie-breakers fail to pick the final candidate, then the candidate who is older in age is given a better rank.

What after Karnataka MBBS BDS Merit List 2018?

The candidates will be eligible to attend the counselling session of Karnataka MBBS 2018 which starts after the release of the provisional merit list. The eligible candidates are provided with a secret key which is used at the time of option entry. The candidates are advised to attend the mock counselling sessions before actually locking the options.
