Nationality: Indian citizens can apply for Karnataka MBBS admission. NRI/OCI candidates can apply only for NRI quota seats in private colleges.
Domicile: Candidates of Karnataka domicile are eligible for government seats in Karnataka MBBS/BDS 2026 admission. Candidates not belonging to Karnataka can apply for open and other quota seats in private institutes in the state.
Academic eligibility: Medical aspirants who have passed 2nd PUC/ class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English as main subjects will be able to fill the application form for the Karnataka MBBS.
Qualifying marks: Candidates belonging to the general category must score a minimum of 50% marks and those belonging to reserved category must secure 40% in the qualifying exam.
