Candidates wishing to appear for the undergraduate medical entrance test can fill the application form using the NEET registration link 2026. As the NEET UG 2026 registration link is now active, candidates must check their eligibility before applying. The NEET eligibility criteria can be checked below.
Candidates must be an Indian Citizen. NRI, OCI, PIO and Foreign National candidates are also eligible to register for NEET 2026.
Applicants must have passed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as compulsory subjects.
The 12th percentage required for NEET for General category candidates is 50%, for SC/ST/OBC candidates is 40% (including PwD of this category) and for General-PwD is 45% (considered for PCB subjects).
Candidates appearing for class 12 in 2026 can also apply.
Candidates must be at least 17 years old as on December 31, 2026.
In the NEET 2026 registration, candidates do not require any documents. The NEET documents required are to be uploaded in the application form. While NEET 2026 registration, candidates only require a valid mobile number and an active email ID to receive the login credentials. Also, further communication is done on the registered mobile number and email address.

Visit the NTA NEET 2026 official website: neet.nta.nic.in.
Click on ‘NEET (UG)- 2026 Registration’ link and then click on ;New Registration’.
Read the instructions carefully, tick on the box provided and then click on the ‘Click here to Proceed’ tab.
Fill personal details, present and permanent address, mobile number and email ID.
Choose a relevant password and enter the provided Captcha code and click on ‘Submit’.
An OTP is sent to the registered mobile number and email ID.
Enter the OTP for verification.
A provisional application number is generated.
Although candidates can register for the medical entrance exam until the NEET 2026 registration last date however, it is recommended to register early. The another step after registration is filling the NEET application form and paying registration fee. Waiting until the last date can lead to server issues, payment failure or some other technical issues. Early registration ensures smooth and error free process completion.
During the NEET registration 2026 process, candidates must fill in the details carefully as some of the fields are non-editable during the correction window.
Candidates must use an active mobile number and email ID.

It's difficult to get a government MBBS for SC category students with 350 marks. The cut-off for a government BAMS or BHMS is also high (around 420-530+).
