    The authorities have clarified that candidates appearing for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam are not required to pay any extra examination fee. Instead of collecting another payment, the authorities will refund the examination fee amount to eligible candidates. To facilitate this process, an online module for submitting bank account details will be provided by May 21, 2026.     What Does the Refund Module Mean?

    In the latest announcements, the NTA has announced to open the refund module on the NEET refund amount 2026 date. The ‘refund module’ refers to an online system where candidates will be able to submit their bank account information for receiving the refunded examination fee. Once the module becomes active, candidates will have to enter details such as:

    • Bank account holder name

    • Account number

    • IFSC code

    • Bank name

    • Branch details

    The refund amount will then be transferred directly to the submitted bank account after verification.

    What Candidates Need to Do on the NEET 2026 Refund Date?

    Candidates who earlier paid fee while filling the NEET 2026 application form, are eligible for the NEET UG 2026 re-exam refund. The NTA has announced that the online module for submitting back amount details will be available by May 21, 2026. On the NEET 2026 fee refund date, candidates must provide the correct bank account details in which they want their refund to be credited. The authority will not be responsible further if the amount is not credited.
