What is HP MBBS?
HP MBBS Application Details
The application process to HP MBBS begins from the second week of June tentatively. The application form will be released by the counselling authority. Candidates are required to visit the official website of HP MBBS/BDS admissions to register themselves for HP MBBS.
HP MBBS Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to fulfill certain eligibility criteria for admission to HP MBBS/BDS which include: Candidates must qualify the NEET UG examination. The candidates seeking admission to MBBS/BDS courses in Himachal Pradesh must be citizens of India. Candidates must be at least 17 years of age as on December 31, 2018. For admission to the state medical and dental colleges, candidates must be wards of Bonafide Himachali/Domicile/Himachal Govt. employees and employees of autonomous bodies wholly or partially financed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. The candidates must have passed at least two or more exams among Middle or equivalent/Matric or equivalent/Class 10 or equivalent/Class 12 or equivalent from the recognized schools or colleges situated in the State of Himachal Pradesh and affiliated to ICSE/CBSE/H.P. Board of School Education or equivalent Boards/Universities. Candidates who are Bonafide Himachali students who are admitted to Navodya Schools situated in Himachal Pradesh and who have passed Class 10 or 12 examinations under the exchange programme from other Navodya Schools in India are also eligible to apply. Candidates who are exempted from the condition of passing the examinations from recognized schools affiliated to ICSE/CBSE/HP Board of School Education and situated within Himachal Pradesh, provided that the candidates of these categories should be Bonafide Himachali and their father/mother are living outside Himachal Pradesh on account of their service/posting /private occupation include: (i) Children of Defence Personnel/Ex-Servicemen. (ii) Children of serving /retired employees of Central Government/U.T./Other State Governments and Children of employees of the Autonomous Organizations/Semi Government Bodies of Central Government/U.T./Other State Governments. (iii) Children of employees of CandidatesHimachal Government/H.P. Govt. Undertaking/Autonomous Bodies wholly owned by H.P. Government. (iv) Children of employees of Private Sector / Private occupation Candidates applying under the management quota in the medical and dental college of Himachal Pradesh need not be bonafide residents of the state in order to be eligible to apply. Candidates must have passed Class 12 with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English from a board recognized by the Central/State government, passing in each of the individual subjects. The aggregate percentage of marks to be secured by the candidates in order to be eligible for the admission process is 50% (for unreserved category), 45% (for Physically handicapped), and 40% (for the reserved category including PH reserved).
