The FMGE 2026 exam was conducted for the December 2025 session. The cutoff of FMGE 2026 exam is 150 marks out of 300. The cutoff refers to the minimum FMGE passing marks required to pass the examination.
Unlike other entrance examinations such as NEET PG, NEET SS, NEET MDS, FMGE is not a competitive exam. It is conducted as a screening test to assess the basic medical competency of foreign medical graduates. Therefore, NBEMS only releases the qualifying marks for FMGE, and no merit-based or category-wise cutoffs are released.
The FMGE is designed purely as a screening examination to verify whether foreign medical graduates meet the minimum standards required to practice medicine in India. Since it is not conducted for admissions or ranking, no merit list is published. Candidates are declared either pass or fail only based on their FMGE Jan 2026 result. This is why only a fixed qualifying cutoff of 150 marks exists for FMGE.
