After qualifying NEET MDS 2026, candidates are eligible to participate in the counselling and admission process for MDS seats offered across dental colleges in India. The counselling process for All India Quota seats is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee.
Qualified students need to participate in the NEET MDS counselling process to secure admission to postgraduate dental courses. The counselling is conducted in multiple rounds, including Round 1, Round 2, mop-up round, and stray vacancy round.
Candidates are required to register online on the official MCC website by entering their NEET MDS credentials and paying the counselling fee. Only registered candidates are allowed to participate in the seat allotment process.
Candidates who register successfully, need to fill their choice of college and specialisation. During the choice filling process, candidates must select and arrange their preferred colleges and specialisations in order of priority. After selecting the choices, candidates need to lock them before the deadline announced by MCC.
The seat allotment is done based on the candidate’s NEET MDS rank, category, seat availability, and choices filled during counselling. Candidates allotted a seat must download the allotment letter from the official portal.
After seat allotment, candidates have to report to the allotted college within the specified dates for document verification and admission confirmation.
