    This is the question that every second student has and their mind while starting the preparation for NEET. It is one of the toughest exams but there are certain levels of difficulty a student has to go through while preparing for NEET. Some of them are mentioned below:

    High Competition

    The number of aspirants in the NEET exam keeps on increasing every year and the availability of medical seats remains limited. This is one of the major reasons for increasing the toughness of the competition.

    In 2023, around 20,87,462 students appeared while the acceptance ratio was approximately 3.6%. Due to these limited seats and demand, there is a rise in the cutoff of neet and this can be challenging for the students who are not even well prepared.

    Vast Syllabus 2025

    NEET syllabus covers the NCERT syllabus of classes 11th and 12th and all it demands is strong command over concepts and their application. Most of the students fail and clear their concepts or if the concept is cleared lack of revision and practice lags.

    Subjects like physics and chemistry are also analytical subjects and demand problem-solving skills while biology comes on the easier side compared to both.

    Accuracy and Speed Balance

    How tough is NEET? The answer also depends upon the accuracy and speed of your taking and solving the problems during the examination.     Physics

    Physics for NEET is considered one of the toughest subjects of all. This is due to numerical problems which require a mathematical approach as well as concepts. There is a less theoretical part in this subject.

    Physics is completely based on concepts and these concepts help you in solving the questions which test your deeper understanding. Is NEET easy or tough? The answer to this question completely depends upon your preparation for this subject.

    Chemistry

    Chemistry for NEET is considered moderately challenging as it requires memorization as well as concept clearance at the same time. There are three sections of chemistry which are inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry and physical chemistry. All three of them have different conceptual chapters and it requires both speed and accuracy to solve the questions.

    Biology

    Biology for NEET is considered easier in comparison to physics and chemistry. But this is also one of the important parts of the NEET exam as it contributes to 50% of the questions and the NEET question paper. There are basic terminology diagrams and conceptual parts in both Zoology and Botany Sections. Biology also requires good memorization as it has a lot of data in each chapter.

    Tips to Overcome NEET Toughness

    NCERT Syllabus: Focus on the important and high-weightage section of the NEET syllabus that will help you score more. Focus on the Biology section and for chemistry and physics make sure that you have strong command over NCERT concepts before moving on to the advanced materials.

    Practice Questions Regularly: make sure that you solve NEET previous year papers in order to know the importance of important topics. This also helps in identifying your mistakes and improving the speed and accuracy of your actual examination.

    Time Management: Divide your study hours into all three subjects based on the difficulty of the subject. Appear for a regular NEET mock test and analyse the mock test for better results in the next one.

    NEET is undoubtedly Challenging but with strategic preparation and disciplined study, it becomes manageable to crack the examination. Whether you find NEET easy or tough this completely depends upon your dedication and preparation for the examination.
