High Competition

The number of aspirants in the NEET exam keeps on increasing every year and the availability of medical seats remains limited. This is one of the major reasons for increasing the toughness of the competition.

In 2023, around 20,87,462 students appeared while the acceptance ratio was approximately 3.6%. Due to these limited seats and demand, there is a rise in the cutoff of neet and this can be challenging for the students who are not even well prepared.

Vast Syllabus 2025

NEET syllabus covers the NCERT syllabus of classes 11th and 12th and all it demands is strong command over concepts and their application. Most of the students fail and clear their concepts or if the concept is cleared lack of revision and practice lags.

Subjects like physics and chemistry are also analytical subjects and demand problem-solving skills while biology comes on the easier side compared to both.

Accuracy and Speed Balance

How tough is NEET? The answer also depends upon the accuracy and speed of your taking and solving the problems during the examination. The marking scheme also consists of negative markings for incorrect answers. This penalty also comes as a challenge for the students who balance their accuracy but fail in speed.

All three of them have different conceptual chapters and it requires both speed and accuracy to solve the questions.

Biology

Biology for NEET is considered easier in comparison to physics and chemistry. But this is also one of the important parts of the NEET exam as it contributes to 50% of the questions and the NEET question paper.
