Getting a score of 450 in NEET 2025 is considered average and above the minimum marks needed to pass, but it might not be high enough to get into government medical colleges for MBBS. With 450 marks in NEET 2025, students can get an All India Rank between 150,000 and 250,000, which might help them get into private medical colleges, but they can be really expensive. On the bright side, this NEET 2025 score of 250 marks is good enough for BDS in government colleges, especially if they are in a reserved category. However, 450 marks in NEET 2025 are good enough for courses like BAMS, BHMS, or B.V.Sc.

The 450 marks in NEET rank 2025 depend on various factors, which are discussed below.
The NEET 2025 number of candidates appeared is around 20.8 lakh, as per various media reports. This number is more than 1 lakh less than the previous year. A smaller candidate pool reduces the competition, potentially pushing ranks lower for the same score compared to last year
The NEET 2025 difficulty level is being considered as the toughest by several experts and leading coaching institutes. Considering the NEET 2025 paper difficulty level as tougher, it is expected that the overall scores may be lower, leading to better ranks for moderate scores like 450.
Because of the tougher NEET 2025 exam compared to previous years, it is expected that the relative performance of other candidates will also be lower. The relative performance of other students can also impact the NEET 2025 rank for 450 marks.
A score of 450 marks in NEET is definitely higher than the expected NEET cutoff 2025, but is unlikely to secure admission to the MBBS programmes in government medical colleges. The government MBBS colleges generally require scores above 550–600 for General category candidates under the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) or 85% state quota. However, there are other options for candidates who are expecting 450 marks in NEET 2025.
BDS programmes - A score of 450 marks in NEET 2025 can be sufficient for admission to Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) programmes in government colleges through state quota counselling, especially for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC)
Private medical and dental colleges - Private institutions often have a lower NEET cutoff than government colleges. Candidates scoring 450 marks in NEET 2025 can explore MBBS or BDS programmes in private colleges, particularly through management or paid quota seats.
Other allied health sciences courses - Candidates can consider programmes like BAMS (Ayurveda), BHMS (Homoeopathy), BUMS (Unani), or B.V.Sc. & AH (Veterinary Sciences) in private institutions. These courses often have lower cut-offs than the NEET cutoff for MBBS government colleges.

Hello aspirant ,
If you want a diploma or degree in orthopedics through NEET 2026 , know that orthopedics as a separate UG medical course does not exist . Orthopedics is a specialization after MBBS or after BPT . To enter medical fields through NEET , you must first qualify NEET and get admission in MBBS . After MBBS , You can choose orthopedics during postgraduate training .Alternatively , you can do BPT through entrance exams like CET or NEET based counselling , and then specialize in orthopedics through internships and certifications.

Hello aspirant,
You cannot rely only on NEET preparation to clear TS EAPCET . NEET covers Physics and Chemistry deeply but TS EAPCET also includes Intermediate IPE syllabus strictly , with questions directly based on textbooks concepts and formulas. Biology is needed for NEET , while EAPCET needs strong Maths for engineering streams. If you plan to attempt both , prepare NEET concepts thoroughly and separately revise IPE-LEVEL Maths, Physics, Chemistry for EAPCET , along with previous year papers.

Hello aspirant,
This kind of name order difference between your Class 10 marksheet and Aadhaar is quite common and usually does not cause serious issues for NEET 2026 . While filling the NEET form, always enter your name exactly as it appears on the Class 10 marksheet, since it is the main reference document. During counselling, if asked, you can explain the difference and keep a simple affidavit or supporting ID ready to confirm both names belong to you.
Hope the details will help you.
