NEET 2026 Topper AIR 7: Aryan Dubey Interview

Careers360: Congratulations on your excellent score! How much did you score in Re-NEET 2026?

Aryan: Thank you. I scored 710 out of 720 in the NEET 2026 exam.

Careers360: Can you please introduce yourself and what inspired you to pursue medicine?

Aryan: My name is Aryan Dubey. I have been studying at Aakash for the last two years. This was my first attempt at NEET. I completed my schooling at DPS, Varanasi. My grandfather was a Chief Medical Officer (CMO), and he inspired me the most to become a doctor. I had already decided by Class 9 that I wanted to prepare for NEET.

Careers360: Tell us about your family.

Aryan: My father works at IIT BHU, my mother is a homemaker, and my younger sister is in Class 11 and is also preparing for NEET.

Careers360: What should students look for while choosing a coaching institute?

Aryan: Students should check the institute's selection record, the quality of faculty, and whether the same study material has helped previous toppers succeed. If many toppers have achieved good results using those resources, students can trust that the material is sufficient.

Careers360: Which subject was your favourite and which chapters did you enjoy the most?

Aryan: Physics was my favourite because I enjoy visualising concepts rather than memorising them. Simple Harmonic Motion (SHM), Waves, and Heat Transfer I enjoyed most.

Careers360: Which medical college is your dream destination?

Aryan: AIIMS Delhi is my dream college. After that, I would prefer Maulana Azad Medical College and CMC Vellore.

Careers360: What was your preparation strategy from Class 11 onwards?

Aryan: I knew consistency was the key. I never allowed backlogs to accumulate. After every chapter, I solved coaching modules and prepared short notes for revision.

Careers360: What is the most important habit for NEET preparation?

Aryan: Repetition. The syllabus is huge, so you have to revise the same content multiple times. Reading something only once is not enough to remember it on the exam day.

Careers360: What books did you use for Physics and what are the topics NEET aspirants should focus on?

Aryan: Solving Aakash modules and Momentum Booster was enough for me. If someone has extra time, they can also practise JEE Main Previous Year Questions. Electrostatics and the complete Heat section carry significant importance

Careers360: What are the important chapters from Chemistry?

Aryan: For inorganic chemistry, learn NCERT thoroughly, including every paragraph, table, and exception, whereas for physical chemistry, practise as many numerical questions as possible and improve approximation skills for faster calculations. For Organic Chemistry, General Organic Chemistry (GOC), Alcohols, Phenols, and Ethers ar very important.

Careers360: How did the Re-NEET 2026 paper compare with the cancelled May 3 exam and the major that you noticed?

Aryan: Physics and Chemistry were comparatively tougher in Re-NEET, while Biology was almost at the same level. The questions became much longer. Instead of directly providing values, information was presented in paragraph form. Students needed a better attention span to identify what the question was actually asking.

Careers360: What is your biggest piece of advice for NEET 2027 aspirants?

Aryan: Attempt as many mock tests as possible to improve question-solving speed. Also, stay calm because examination centres may not always provide ideal conditions.

Careers360: How should students prepare for Biology?

Aryan: If someone has read NCERT five to six times, Biology can be completed within about 30 minutes in the exam.

Careers360: How supportive were your family and teachers during your preparation?

Aryan: My family was very supportive. They never pressured me to secure a particular rank. They simply wanted me to get into a good medical college. My mentors were always available for doubt-solving, conducted extra classes, and regularly organised test papers.

Careers360: What did you do whenever you felt exhausted?

Aryan: After around 15 days of continuous study, I used to take one complete day off. However, once the break was over, I strictly followed my routine for the next 15 days.

Careers360: What was your daily study routine?

Aryan: After school or coaching, I mainly revised class notes, solved questions, and read the same Biology NCERT chapters that had been taught in coaching.

Careers360: How important are NEET mock tests?

Aryan: Mock tests are extremely important because they not only test your knowledge but also train you to perform under actual examination conditions.

Careers360: How did you react when NEET 2026 was cancelled and did you change any preparation strategy for ReNEET?

Aryan: I was very disappointed because I was scoring around 715 in the cancelled exam. It took me around five to six days to get back on track. My only focus was to stay away from negativity and continue preparing.

Careers360: Do you think NEET should shift to CBT mode?

Aryan: Yes. Although it would be challenging due to the large number of candidates, CBT would make it easier to maintain the quality and security of the examination.

Careers360: Should NEET have an attempt limit?

Aryan: I think there should be a reasonable limit. Ideally, students should dedicate a maximum of three to four years to the examination.

Careers360: What advice would you give to students scoring 400–500 marks?

Aryan: First, honestly analyse where you went wrong. Then ask yourself whether you are truly ready to dedicate one more year to preparation. If the answer is yes, then taking a drop can be a good decision.

Careers360: What advice would you give to students who have just entered Class 11?

Aryan: Initially, the biggest challenge is developing the habit of studying for long hours. Even if you cannot study effectively, at least sit at your study table regularly to build discipline and consistency.

Careers360: How did you manage your time during the exam?

Aryan: I attempted Biology first (around 20–30 minutes), then Chemistry (30–40 minutes), followed by Physics. After finishing Physics, I returned to Chemistry and attempted the remaining difficult questions.

Careers360: Finally, what is your one-line message for every NEET aspirant?

Aryan: Stay consistent, revise repeatedly, attempt as many mock tests as possible, and focus only on what you can control.
