When will NTA announce the official NEET 2026 exam date has been the topmost query of medical aspirants who are eagerly awaiting for the NEET UG 2026 exam to secure an MBBS seat in India. As of mid-January 2026, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has not yet officially announced the NEET 2026 exam date. However, based on consistent patterns from previous years, NTA is expected to officially announce the NEET 2026 exam date in First week of February, 2026. It is expected that the exam will be held on the first Sunday of May 2026, which falls on May 3, 2026.

Since 2023, NTA has consistently conducted the NEET UG exam on the first Sunday of May. The official announcement and notifications are typically issued in February, giving candidates a timeline of around 3 months before the exam date. Considering all these past year trends, the NTA is expected to announce the official NEET 2026 exam date in the first week of February 2026.

NEET Exam Date 2026 by NTA: Latest Update

The NTA has already released the NEET 2026 syllabus on January 8, 2026. The authority also released the NEET 2026 application form advisory on January 5, 2026. With this release of the advisory and syllabus by NTA, it is expected that the official announcement regarding the NEET 2026 exam date will be announced soon.

Earlier, NMC also released the unchanged NEET UG syllabus 2026. This indicates that internal preparations from NTA and NMC are in the final stages and candidates can expect the official announcement on exam date and NEET 2026 registrations soon.
