The application form of J & K MBBS is released tentatively by the second week of June. The concerned state counselling authority releases the J & K MBBS/BDS application forms.
J&K MBBS Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admission to J & K MBBS/BDS: 1. The candidates must be Indian citizens. 2. The candidates must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31 of the given academic year for which the admission is being conducted. 3. A candidate applying for the State quota seats must be a permanent resident of J&K State as defined in section 6 of the Constitution of Jammu and Kashmir. 4. Candidates applying under sports category, CDP, JKPM, SP P&B shall be considered only if they have scored a minimum of 50 percentile marks/qualifying score as laid down by the CBSE. 5. Candidates for admission to MBBS/BDS and other courses must have passed Higher Secondary Part II (Class 12) or an equivalent examination from a recognized statutory Board/University and must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate, in case of open merit category, 45% in aggregate in case of physically handicapped and 40% in aggregate for reserved categories. 6. Candidates are required to pass in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and obtain a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the qualifying examination. The candidates must have cleared the NEET UG exam with specified qualifying marks and percentile.
