AIIMS PGAIIMS PG 2018 - The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has given the last chance to the candidates who have not uploaded the correct the images in their AIIMS PG 2018 application forms, to correct and re-upload the image by 5:00 PM on April 21, 2018. Only those candidates whose application forms of AIIMS PG 2018 and the images therein will be in order, will be issued the AIIMS PG admit card 2018. AIIMS New Delhi earlier announced on its official website that the application forms of AIIMS PG 2018 submitted by the candidates were under review and their status was updated on the website on April 18, 2018. The application form of AIIMS PG 2018 July session was released on March 9, 2018. AIIMS New Delhi will conduct the entrance examination for AIIMS PG 2018 July session on Sunday, May 6, 2018.

LATEST - The last date to make corrections in the image of AIIMS PG 2018 application form is April 21, 2018 (5:00 PM).

AIIMS PG 2018 is held twice a year, once in January and once in July and offers admissions to Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS) courses in AIIMS institutions. The application process for AIIMS PG 2018 began in online mode on March 9, 2018, and remained open until 5.00 PM on March 28, 2018. Admissions via AIIMS PG 2018 are done to fill approximately 439 MD/MS seats in Clinical and Basic Clinical Sciences, and five MDS programmes. Aspirants, who wish to appear for AIIMS PG 2018 July session can check below complete details about the postgraduate entrance test including important dates, eligibility criteria, application form, exam pattern, admit card, seat reservation, counselling, contract, result, cut off, and more.

 

The result of AIIMS PG 2018 will be declared on May 12, 2018. Based on the result, the counselling of AIIMS PG for July 2018 session will be conducted in online mode from June 5, 2018, onwards. However, the open counselling round of AIIMS PG 2018 will be conducted in offline mode only.

AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria 2018

Candidates willing to appear in the entrance exam should check the Eligibility Criteria of AIIMS PG 2018 before filling up the application form.

  • Candidates must have an MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree for MDS from a Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India recognized institution.

  • Aspirants must have completed one year of rotating internship on or before July 30, 2018.

  • Applicants belonging to General Category must have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in MBBS, while it is 50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST category.

 

AIIMS PG Application Form 2018

The Application Form of AIIMS PG 2018 for July session began on March 9, 2018, in online mode only. The last date to fill the AIIMS PG application form 2018 was March 28, 2018. The application fee will be Rs. 1500 for candidates belonging to General and OBC categories. For SC/ST candidates, the fee for AIIMS PG Application Form will be Rs. 1200. Differently abled/OPH candidates will be exempt from paying the application fees for AIIMS PG July session 2018. The fees of AIIMS PG application can be remitted through net banking, debit card and credit card.

 

AIIMS PG Exam Pattern 2018

AIIMS PG 2018 will be held as a Computer Based Test (CBT). Questions will be based on the syllabus prescribed by the exam conducting authority, AIIMS, New Delhi. The online question booklet will comprise questions from pre-clinical, clinical and para-clinical subjects.

 

AIIMS PG 2018 Exam Pattern (MD/MS and MDS)

For MD/MS:

Duration: 3 hours (180 minutes)

Number of questions: 200 objective type multiple choice questions

Marking scheme: 1 mark for each correct response

Negative marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each incorrect response

Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programmes

For MDS:

Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes (90 minutes)

Number of questions: 90 objective type multiple choice questions

Marking scheme: 1 mark for each correct response

Negative marking: 1/3rd mark will be deducted for each incorrect response

Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus taught during BDS

 

AIIMS PG Exam Centres 2018 

Exam Centres of AIIMS PG 2018 have been announced by the exam conducting body, AIIMS New Delhi. They comprise 68 cities where the online entrance examination will be held. The 68 cities have been chosen such that they are spread across 8 zones of the country. Candidates filling the application will be required to select an AIIMS PG 2018 Exam Centre as per their convenience. The exam centres will be allocated on first come first served basis. AIIMS PG Admit Card 2018

Admit Card of AIIMS PG 2018 for July session will be made available from April 24, 2018. AIIMS PG admit card 2018 will be accessible only by those candidates whose application forms are accepted by AIIMS New Delhi. Candidates will be able to download AIIMS PG 2018 Admit Card by logging into their accounts. The admit card of AIIMS PG 2018 will display details such as candidate’s name, examination details, examination centre address, etc.

 

AIIMS PG Cutoff 2018

The cutoff of AIIMS PG 2018 is the minimum score required to be obtained in AIIMS PG 2018 by the test takers in order to qualify. The cutoff marks is prescribed by the exam conducting authority. Candidates will have to secure a minimum of 50th percentile in AIIMS PG 2018 irrespective of their category. Based on the AIIMS PG Cutoff 2018, the result cum merit list will be prepared and candidates will be called for AIIMS PG Counselling 2018.

 

AIIMS PG Answer Key 2018

As the entrance exam is held in online mode, the Answer Key of AIIMS PG 2018 will not be published by the exam conducting body, AIIMS Delhi. Moreover, medical coaching institutes will also not publish the answer key.

 

AIIMS PG Result 2018

The result of AIIMS PG 2018 for July session will be announced on May 12, 2018, by AIIMS, New Delhi in online mode. Candidates will be able to check AIIMS PG 2018 result in the form of roll number wise and rank wise list of qualified candidates who are shortlisted for first counselling. Besides this, AIIMS PG result 2018 will also be declared in the form of individual rank letters of the candidates. Candidates will be able to check AIIMS PG 2018 Result cum scorecard in online mode only. Only those candidates who will secure a minimum of 50 percentile in the entrance exam irrespective of their category will be included in the roll number wise or rank wise list of AIIMS PG 2018.

 

AIIMS PG Participating Institutes 2018

 

AIIMS PG 2018 for July 2018 session admissions will be conducted on May 6 for providing admissions to 439 MD/MS and MDS seats in AIIMS New Delhi, AIIMS Bhopal, AIIMS Bhubaneswar, AIIMS Jodhpur, AIIMS Rishikesh and AIIMS Raipur. The number and distribution of seat may vary depending upon the directions from competent authorities.

AIIMS PG Seat Reservation 2018

For test-takers belonging to scheduled caste, scheduled tribe and other backward classes (non-creamy layer) excluding sponsored/foreign nationals, as many as 49.5% of postgraduate seats are reserved. Moreover, 5% reservations for Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped candidates who are Indian nationals is available.

AIIMS PG Counselling 2018

Counselling of AIIMS PG 2018 will be conducted in online mode for the first and second round of counselling. The counselling for the open round will be conducted in offline mode only. For participating in counselling rounds, candidates will be required to register online. The details including schedule and procedure of AIIMS PG 2018 counselling are detailed on AIIMS PG 2018 counselling page. For each category, the number of candidates called for counselling were eight times the number of seats. The counselling will be done purely on the basis of AIIMS PG 2018 merit list. The details of how to register and participate in online counselling of AIIMS PG will also be made available on AIIMS PG online counselling page. Candidates can exercise their choice of subject in order of merit in accordance with seat availability.

 

AIIMS PG Seat Allotment 2018

AIIMS New Delhi will release the result of Seat Allotment of AIIMS PG 2018 for all rounds of AIIMS PG 2018 counselling. Qualified candidates will be allocated seats in PG medical courses on the basis of their All India Rank, course and college preference, and seat availability. The number of candidates called for seat allotment will be eight times the total seats available for taking care of absentees.

 

AIIMS PG Contract 2018

  • Each junior resident will be on contract service for a time duration of three years.

  • Original certificates of a candidate who opts for a confirmed seat will be retained in academic section. The same will not be returned to the candidate before completion of the course unless he/she deposits a sum of rupees one lakh.

  • If any candidate joining the MD/MS/MDS course leaves the said course within six months, he/she will be liable to pay a sum of rupees one lakh as compensation for losses incurred by the AIIMS due to such departure.
