AIIMS PG 2020 – The conducting authority, All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has released a notice announcing revised dates for the AIIMS PG 2020. As per the revised schedule, the authority has extended the last date to complete the final registration process from October 11 to October 16, 2019. Only candidates who have completed the basic registration process of AIIMS PG 2020 application form and have generated code proceed to the final registration process. AIIMS PG 2020 admit card will release on November 6, 2019, only the successfully registered candidates will be able to download it. AIIMS PG entrance exam will be conducted on November 17, 2019, for admission to a total of 548 MD/MS/MDS/DM/MCh seats offered by seven institutes across the country. AIIMS PG Important Dates 2020 - January Session
Candidates appearing for AIIMS PG 2020 must make sure that they fulfil the following criteria listed below.
Candidates need to have completed one year of rotating internship on or before January 30, 2020.
Applicants from General Category are required to have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in MBBS, while the candidates belonging to SC/ST category are required to have scored an aggregate of 50%.
The authority has extended the last date to fill the final registration of AIIMS PG 2020 application form to October 16, 2019, from October 11. A link to fill the final registration form has been provided above on this page. The authority had started the final registration process of AIIMS PG 2020 from September 27, 2019. Candidates who have completed the basic registration process for January session can start AIIMS PG final registration using registration ID, RUC, password and security code.
The regulatory body of AIIMS PG had introduced a new application process named as PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) facility. In the PAAR registration process, AIIMS PG application form 2020 can be filled in two stages - Basic Registration and Final Registration. The medical aspirants who will successfully complete the basic registration process will be eligible to participate in the final registration process. Only those candidates who successfully complete the entire application process will be issued the AIIMS PG admit card.
The AIIMS PG 2020 application form fee is INR 1,500 for the General and OBC categories, while for SC/ST/EWS category it is INR 1,200. The candidates belonging to OPH/differently-abled categories are exempted from paying the fee of AIIMS PG 2020 application form. The AIIMS PG 2020 application fee can be paid in the online mode through net banking/credit card/debit card.
Note: Aspirants who have already completed their basic registration of AIIMS PG 2020 January session will not be required to do it again for July session.
The exam centres of AIIMS PG 2020 has been revealed by the competent authority with the release of information brochure for January session. AIIMS PG 2020 entrance examination will be conducted in 68 major cities of India. AIIMS PG 2020 exam centres are divided into eight different zones in the country. Candidates must select the exam centres for AIIMS PG 2020 as per their preference while filling out the application form. Candidates who will successfully complete the PAAR registration will be issued the admit card of AIIMS PG 2020 from November 6, 2019. Each candidate will have to download their respective admit card through the registration ID, RUC and password generated at the time of registration. AIIMS PG 2020 admit card is a crucial document which an aspirant will have to mandatorily carry at the examination centre. Entry to the exam hall will be restricted without a valid AIIMS PG admit card 2020 issued by the exam conducting authority. AIIMS PG 2020 admit card will mention details like candidates’ name, roll number, examination venue, examination timing etc. The admit card also bears important instruction which a candidate must read carefully and adhere to. Flouting of any of the rules mentioned on the admit card of AIIMS PG 2020 may result in cancellation of candidature.

The exam of AIIMS PG 2020 will be conducted in online mode, therefore, it is unlikely that the exam authority will release the answer key of AIIMS PG 2020. Leading coaching institutes may release a memory-based AIIMS PG answer key 2020 that will be provided on this page as and when it is released.
AIIMS, New Delhi will declare the result of AIIMS PG 2020 for January session on November 22, 2019. AIIMS PG result 2020 will be announced in the online mode. AIIMS PG 2020 result will be released in the form of the merit list displaying the name of candidates who will qualify in the examination and are eligible for the counselling process. Individual rank letters for AIIMS PG result 2020 are also likely to be released. Only those candidates who have scored 50th percentile or above are considered as qualified in AIIMS PG January session.
The minimum score required to be obtained by the candidates in order to qualify in the exam is the cutoff of AIIMS PG 2020. The exam conducting authority prescribes the AIIMS PG cutoff 2020 for January session. All candidates, irrespective of their category, are required to secure a minimum of 50 percentile in the AIIMS PG 2020. The candidates will be included in the result cum merit list and called for counselling based on the cutoff of AIIMS PG 2020. Along with the AIIMS PG result, the cut off for the particular session is also released.
Last year for January session, the last AIIMS PG cut off rank or unreserved category candidates is 1853 and the percentile scores corresponding to the rank is 95.907. The process of counselling for AIIMS PG 2020 for January session will be held in the online mode. The authority will conduct three rounds of AIIMS PG counselling 2020 and if there will be any seats left vacant, then a spot counselling will be organised. Aspirants who will qualify AIIMS PG 2020 exam will be eligible to participate for the counselling process. The dates and information brochure of AIIMS PG 2020 counselling will be released after the announcement of result. For each round, the number of candidates called for AIIMS PG counselling will be eight times the number of seats.
For the first round of counselling, aspirants will be required to register themselves by logging in using the candidate ID and password. Thereafter, they have to fill their choices of AIIMS and courses. After exercising, the selected choices must be locked on or before the last date, else the filled choices will get locked automatically. Based on the choices filled, AIIMS PG rank, seats available at the selected institute and reservation criteria, the admission to MD/MS and MDS courses will be granted.
AIIMS PG 2020 counselling result for each round will be declared in PDF format. The link to download the AIIMS PG counselling 2020 result will be made available on this page. After the allotment of seats, candidates will be required to select their option that whether they have accepted the seat or not. In case, if they wish to appear for subsequent rounds of AIIMS PG counselling, then they will not have to register again. After the allotment of seats, the shortlisted aspirants must report at the respective AIIMS Institute along with the relevant documents for verification and completion of the admission process.

All candidates who take up admission through AIIMS PG 2020 will be required to bind in a contract with the institution. The terms of AIIMS PG 2020 contract include the following.
A contract service time of three years will have to be fulfilled by each junior resident.
The academic section of a particular AIIMS where admission is sought will retain all the original documents of the candidate who takes up the confirmed seat. The documents will be returned only on completion of the course or upon payment of a sum of INR 1,00,000.
A candidate joining the MD/MS/MDS course, if withdraws admission from the said course within six months, s/he will be liable to pay a compensation fee of INR 1,00,000 to curb the losses incurred by the AIIMS institute due to such departure.
The criteria for seat reservation in AIIMS PG 2020 is described in detail in the table below. Candidates from the scheduled tribe, scheduled caste and other backward classes (non-creamy layer) excluding sponsored/foreign nationals, are entitled to a reservation os as many as 49.5% of postgraduate seats. Additionally, 5% of seats are reserved for Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped candidates who are Indian nationals.

Dear Amit, AIIMS PG eligiblity criteria states that to be eligible for AIIMS PG, Candidates should have scored a minimum aggregate of 55% in MBBS. It is 55% for General and OBC Categories and 50% for SC and ST Categories. Now it is irrelevant whether you have appeared for any subject twice or more. What matters is the total aggregate.
