
AIIMS PG 2019 – The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is the conducting body of AIIMS PG 2019 entrance examination. The authority has announced AIIMS PG important dates 2019 for July session. AIIMS PG 2019 July session exam will be conducted on May 5. The basic registration of application form of AIIMS PG 2019 has started from October 18, 2018, Aspirants must successfully complete the AIIMS PG 2019 basic registration until February 19. The examination authority on February 12, released an official notice mentioning the steps to fill the application form of AIIMS PG 2019 (basic and final registration). Only candidates whose applications will be accepted by authority can participate for AIIMS PG 2019 final registration from March 22. The admit card of AIIMS PG 2019 for July session will be issued to applicants whose application forms will be submitted successfully.
AIIMS PG 2019 exam will contain 200 multiple choice questions, based on the syllabus of MBBS/BDS. The entrance exam for MD/MS courses will be held for three hours from 09:00 AM to 12:00 Noon, while only one and a half hour will be allotted for MDS courses. The result of AIIMS PG 2019 will be announced online on May 10, 2019, in PDF format. Only the qualified candidates will be eligible to participate for AIIMS PG 2019 counselling for allotment of seats. AIIMS PG is a national level entrance examination for admission to postgraduate courses of Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), and MCh courses in the seven AIIMS institutions.
The entrance examination of AIIMS PG is held twice a year in the months of November and May. AIIMS PG 2019 offers admission to 14 MDS seats and a total of 501 MD/MS/DM/MCh seats in Basic Clinical and Clinical Sciences. Last year, a total of 26,392 aspirants appeared for AIIMS PG July session, of which only 13,192 qualified for admission to MD/MS courses. While, out of 2610 candidates appeared for MDS course, only 1336 passed the exam. AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria 2019
Candidates are required to fulfil the following criteria listed below in order to be eligible for AIIMS PG 2019 July session.
Candidates should possess an MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree for MDS from an institution recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
Candidates need to have completed one year of rotating internship on or before June 30, 2019.
Applicants from General Category are required to have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in MBBS, while the candidates belonging to SC/ST category are required to have scored an aggregate of 50%.
AIIMS PG Application Form 2019
The basic registration process of application form of AIIMS PG 2019 July session has started from October 18, 2018, in online mode only. Candidates who will successfully complete the basic registration process will be eligible to participate in the final registration process. The final registration process will begin from March 22, 2019. The regulatory body of AIIMS PG has introduced a new application process named as PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) facility. In the PAAR registration process, AIIMS PG application form can be filled in two stages - Basic Registration and Final Registration.
The AIIMS PG 2019 application form fee will be INR 1,500 for the General and OBC categories, while for SC/ST categories it is INR 1,200. The candidates belonging to OPH/differently abled categories are exempted from paying the application fee of AIIMS PG 2019 application form. The AIIMS PG 2019 application fee can be paid in the online mode through net banking/credit card/debit card. Note: Aspirants who have already completed their basic registration of AIIMS PG 2019 January session will not be required to do it again for July session.
AIIMS PG Admit Card 2019
The admit card of AIIMS PG 2019 for the July session will be made available in the second week of April. AIIMS, New Delhi will release the AIIMS PG admit card 2019 for only those candidates whose application forms will be accepted. Candidates will be able to access and download their admit card of AIIMS PG 2019 by logging in to their account using their candidate ID and password. AIIMS PG 2019 admit card will include details as candidates’ name, roll number, examination venue, examination timing etc.
AIIMS PG Exam Centres 2019
The conducting authority AIIMS, New Delhi will release the list of exam centres of AIIMS PG 2019 on March 19, along with the prospectus. The online entrance examination is expected to be conducted across 65 cities across India. AIIMS PG exam centres 2019 will be spread across eight zones in the country. Candidates must select the exam centres for AIIMS PG 2019 as per their preference, while filling out the application form. AIIMS, New Delhi will allotted AIIMS PG 2019 exam centres on a first-cum-first-serve-basis. AIIMS PG Answer Key 2019
The entrance examination of AIIMS PG 2019 will be held online and as such AIIMS PG 2019 answer key will not be released. Coaching institutes will also not be releasing any answer key of AIIMS PG 2019.
AIIMS PG 2019 Result
AIIMS, New Delhi will declare the result of AIIMS PG 2019 for July session on May 10. AIIMS PG result 2019 is announced in the online mode. AIIMS PG 2019 result will be released in the form of the merit list displaying the name of candidates who will qualify in the examination and are eligible for the counselling process. Individual rank letters for AIIMS PG result 2019 are also likely to be released. Only those candidates who will score 50th percentile or above will be considered as qualified in AIIMS PG 2019 July session.
AIIMS PG Cutoff 2019
The minimum score required to be obtained by the candidates in order to qualify in the exam is the cutoff of AIIMS PG 2019. The exam conducting authority prescribes the AIIMS PG cutoff 2019 for July session. All candidates, irrespective of their category, are required to secure a minimum of 50 percentile in the AIIMS PG 2019. The candidates will be included in the result cum merit list and called for counselling based on the cutoff of AIIMS PG 2019.
For January session, the last AIIMS PG cut off rank 2019 for unreserved category candidates is 1853 and the percentile scores corresponding to the rank is 95.907. AIIMS PG 2019 Counselling
The process of counselling for AIIMS PG 2019 for July session will be held in the online mode. The authority will conduct three rounds of AIIMS PG counselling 2019 and if there will be any seats left vacant, then the spot counselling will be organised. Aspirants who will qualify AIIMS PG 2019 exam will be eligible to participate for counselling process. The dates and information brochure of AIIMS PG 2019 counselling will be released after the announcement of result.
For the first round of counselling, aspirants must register themselves by logging in using the candidate ID and password. Thereafter, they have to fill their choices of AIIMS and courses. After exercising, the selected choices must be locked on or before the last date, else the filled choices be locked automatically. Based on the choices filled, AIIMS PG rank, seats available at the selected institute and reservation criteria, the admission to MD/MS and MDS courses will be granted.
The result of AIIMS PG 2019 counselling July session for each round will be released in PDF format. The link to download the AIIMS PG counselling 2019 result will be available on this page. After the allotment of seats, candidates will be required to select their option that whether they have accepted the seat or not. In case, if they wish to appear for subsequent rounds of AIIMS PG counselling, then they will not have to register again. After the allotment of seats, the shortlisted aspirants must report at the respective AIIMS Institute along with the relevant documents for verification and completion of admission process.
AIIMS PG Seat Allotment 2019
The seat allotment list for AIIMS PG 2019 will be published by AIIMS, New Delhi after each round of counselling. Candidates who will qualify in AIIMS PG 2019 will be allotted seats in the PG medical courses on the basis of the All India Ranks, preference for college and course, and availability of seats. Candidates eight times the number of total available seats will be called for the process of seat allotment to compensate for the absentees.

AIIMS PG Contract 2019
All candidates who take up admission through AIIMS PG 2019 will be required to bind in a contract with the institution. The terms of AIIMS PG 2019 contract include the following.
A contract service time of three years will have to be fulfilled by each junior resident.
The academic section of a particular AIIMS where admission is sought will retain all the original documents of the candidate who takes up the confirmed seat. The documents will be returned only on completion of the course or upon payment of a sum of INR 1,00,000.
A candidate joining the MD/MS/MDS course, if withdraws admission from the said course within six months, s/he will be liable to pay a compensation fee of INR 1,00,000 to curb the losses incurred by the AIIMS institute due to such departure.
AIIMS PG Seat Reservation 2019
The criteria for seat reservation in AIIMS PG 2019 is described in detail in the table below. Candidates from the scheduled tribe, scheduled caste and other backward classes (non-creamy layer) excluding sponsored/foreign nationals, are entitled to a reservation os as many as 49.5% of postgraduate seats. Additionally, 5% of seats are reserved for Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped candidates who are Indian nationals.
