AIIMS PG 2019 – The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi is the conducting body of AIIMS PG 2019 entrance examination. The final registration process of AIIMS PG application form 2019 has started and candidates can check below the link to register. The dates for the January session of AIIMS PG 2019 along with information brochure for the exam have been released by the conducting body. AIIMS PG is a national level entrance examination for admission to postgraduate courses of Master of Surgery (MS), Doctor of Medicine (MD) and Master of Dental Surgery (MDS), and MCh courses in the various AIIMS institutions.

The entrance examination of AIIMS PG 2019 is held twice a year in the months of January and July. The registration process for the January session of AIIMS PG 2019 begun on August 31, 2018. The basic registration for AIIMS PG 2019 (January session) is closed. AIIMS PG 2019 offers admission to five different MDS programmes and a total of approximately 499 MD/MS seats in Basic Clinical and Clinical Sciences. Candidates appearing for AIIMS PG 2019 can check here for all the information on the entrance examination including important dates, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, application form, admit card, seat reservation, result, counselling and cut-off.

Note: The basic registration of AIIMS PG 2019 July session will begin from October 18, 2018, which was expected to commence from October 6. Aspirants who have already completed their basic registration process are not required to fill the basic registration details again.

AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria 2019

Candidates are required to fulfil the following criteria listed below in order to be eligible for AIIMS PG 2019

  • Candidates are required to possess an MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree for MDS from an institution recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.

  • Candidates need to have completed one year of rotating internship on or before January 31, 2019.

  • Applicants from General Category are required to have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate in MBBS, while the candidates belonging to SC/ST category are required to have scored an aggregate of 50%.

AIIMS PG Application Form 2019

The authorities have released the application form for AIIMS PG 2019 by August 31, 2018, in the online mode only. The final registration started on October 5, 2018. The last date for final submission of the application form of AIIMS PG 2019 is October 15, 2018. Candidates who have successfully completed the basic registration process will be eligible to participate in the final registration process. The AIIMS PG 2019 application form fee is INR 1,500 for the General and OBC categories while for SC/ST categories it is INR 1,200. The candidates belonging to OPH/differently abled categories are exempted from paying the application fee of AIIMS PG 2019 application form. The AIIMS PG 2019 application fee can be paid in the online mode through net banking/credit card/debit card.

AIIMS PG Exam Centres 2019

The conducting authority AIIMS, New Delhi will determine the exam centres of AIIMS PG 2019. The online entrance examination is likely to be conducted across 65 cities across India. AIIMS PG exam centres 2019 are usually spread across eight zones in the country. Candidates, as per their preference, will be required to select exam centres for AIIMS PG 2019 while filling out the application form for the same. AIIMS, New Delhi will allot AIIMS PG 2019 exam centres on a first-cum-first-serve-basis. Candidates can check below the eight zones for the exam centres of AIIMS PG 2019.

AIIMS PG Admit Card 2019

The admit card of AIIMS PG 2019 for the January session will be made available on November 5. AIIMS, New Delhi will release the AIIMS PG admit card 2019 for only those candidates whose application forms will be accepted. Candidates will be able to access and download their admit card of AIIMS PG 2019 by logging in to their account using their registration ID and password. AIIMS PG 2019 admit card will include details as candidates’ name, roll number, examination venue, examination timing etc.

AIIMS PG Answer Key 2019

The entrance examination of AIIMS PG 2019 will be held online and as such  AIIMS PG 2019 answer key will not be released. Coaching institutes will also not be releasing any answer key of AIIMS PG 2019.


AIIMS PG 2019 Result

AIIMS, New Delhi will declare the result of AIIMS PG 2019 on November 23, 2018, tentatively. AIIMS PG result 2019 will be declared in the online mode. AIIMS PG 2019 result will be declared in the form of rank wise list and roll number wise list of candidates who will qualify in the examination. Individual rank letters for AIIMS PG result 2019 are also likely to be released. Only those candidates who will score 50th percentile or above will be considered as qualified in AIIMS PG 2019 result.


AIIMS PG Cutoff 2019

The minimum score required to be obtained by the candidates in order to qualify in the exam is the cutoff of AIIMS PG 2019. The exam conducting authority prescribes the AIIMS PG cutoff 2019. All candidates, irrespective of their category, are required to secure a minimum of 50 percentile in the AIIMS PG 2019. The candidates will be included in the result cum merit list and called for counselling based on the cutoff of AIIMS PG 2019. 


AIIMS PG Seat Reservation 2018

The criteria for seat reservation in AIIMS PG 2019 has been described in detail in the table below. Candidates from the scheduled tribe, scheduled caste and other backward classes (non-creamy layer) excluding sponsored/foreign nationals, are entitled to a reservation os as many as 49.5% of postgraduate seats. Additionally, 5% of seats are reserved for Orthopaedic Physically Handicapped candidates who are Indian nationals.

AIIMS PG 2019 Counselling

The process of counselling for AIIMS PG 2019 will be held in the online mode. AIIMS PG counselling 2019 will likely be held in three rounds – first, second, and third. Qualified candidates will be required to register online to participate in AIIMS PG 2019 counselling process. Candidates will be able to exercise their preference of subject for AIIMS PG 2019 in order of merit and also in accordance with seat availability. The counselling for AIIMS PG 2019 will be done purely on the basis of merit obtained in the result.


AIIMS PG Seat Allotment 2019

The seat allotment list for AIIMS PG 2019 will be published by AIIMS, New Delhi after each round of counselling. Candidates who will qualify in AIIMS PG 2019 will be allotted seats in the PG medical courses on the basis of the All India Ranks, preference for college and course, and availability of seats. Candidates eight times the number of total available seats will be called for the process of seat allotment to compensate for the absentees.

AIIMS PG Contract 2019

All candidates who take up admission through AIIMS PG 2019 will be required to bind in a contract with the institution. The terms of AIIMS PG 2019 contract include the following.

  • A contract service time of three years will have to be fulfilled by each junior resident.

  • The academic section of a particular AIIMS where admission is sought will retain all the original documents of the candidate who takes up the confirmed seat. The documents will be returned only on completion of the course or upon payment of a sum of INR 1,00,000.

  • A candidate joining the MD/MS/MDS course, if withdraws admission from the said course within six months, s/he will be liable to pay a compensation fee of INR 1,00,000 to curb the losses incurred by the AIIMS institute due to such departure.
