AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria 2020
Aspirants seeking admission to AIIMS PG courses must possess an MBBS degree for MD/MS and BDS degree for MDS from an institution recognized by Medical Council of India/Dental Council of India.
It is essential that all the candidates complete the compulsory one-year rotatory internship on or before January 30, 2020.
AIIMS PG applicants from General/OBC Category need to score minimum of 55% aggregate marks in MBBS, while the SC/ST category candidates must secure an aggregate of 50%.
Candidates with benchmark disabilities applying under the Persons with Disability (PwD) quota belonging to the above two categories must secure the minimum aggregate required in the respective categories.
AIIMS PG Eligibility Criteria 2020 for Sponsored Candidates
Aspirants who are the permanent employees of Central/State Government or Armed Forces or any public sector undertaking autonomous body can be sponsored by the respective bodies. Such candidates need to submit a proforma issued by the concerned body for the sponsorship. AIIMS PG eligibility criteria 2020 for January session, the sponsored candidates must secure an aggregate of 55% for open and OBC categories, while 50% for SC/ST categories.

AIIMS PG 2020 – Who are not eligible to apply?
All aspirants are required to produce their certificate of internship prior to the due date. Candidates who do not complete the mandatory 12-month rotatory internship or are due to complete the internship after January 30, 2020, are not eligible to apply.
Candidates securing less than the mentioned minimum qualifying marks decided by AIIMS Delhi are not eligible to sit for the entrance examination.

Candidates belonging to General Category should have completed their MBBS with a minimum aggregate og 55% and those Candidates belonging to SC/ST Categories should secure a minimum aggregate of 50% to be eligible for AIIMS PG exam. There is no rule regarding grace marks. As long as you have achieved this aggregate according to your Category, you are eligible for AIIMS PG subjective to the fulfilment of Internship criteria as as well. If you belong to General/OBC Category, then you should score aggregate of 55% in MBBS. But if you belong to SC/ST Category, then it is only 50% that is required. If you completed your MBBS, then you cannot do anything about your aggregate now because you already completed the course. But if you are in the last year, you can try to improve the aggregate by scoring good marks in the final year subjects. Now it is too late and you can do nothing about it. Other than AIIMS PG, there is also NEET PG and PGIMER. You can try those. I know that AIIMS is a top institution but they do not offer any relaxations in qualifications.

Rajan. AIIMS conducts its PG exam for its admissions in 2 sessions i.e. January and July session. For being eligible for July session, you should have completed your Internship by December 31st of the same year. For example, if you want to appear for July 2022 session, you should be atleast completing your Internship by December 31st, 2022. Now if you want to appear for January session, you should have completed your Internship by January 31st of the same year of admission. So if you will complete your Internship by March 2022, you should appear for July 2022 session of AIIMS PG exam.
