A large section of students relies on a handful of coaching institutes for preparation that can charge as much as Rs 3.85 lakh for a two-year course. The fee for online coaching with well-known education technology brands including Byju’s, Unacademy, Toppr and Vedantu tends to range from Rs 45,000 to Rs 1.35 lakh per course for one and two year courses. However, it is possible to negotiate for a lower price or “scholarships”.
Starting from the first week of March, Careers360 called several of the best-known coaching institutes, both online and offline, on their official numbers for potential students and attempted to negotiate costs with the representatives citing various factors including academic results, performance in the scholarship test conducted by the institutes, references and early enrolment. Doing this results in discounts ranging from 10 percent to 50 percent.

The price stated on the website for a two-year JEE preparation course is Rs.1.35 lakh. When Careers360 spoke to the academic counsellor of Byju’s, he stated that a discount upto 50% can be provided on enrolling for a two-year course. For one year, the counsellor said a discount of only 10-20 percent would be provided.
In the first week of March, the counsellor from Unacademy stated that the price for the JEE course through the 18-month “Iconic Subscription” is Rs 80,000 and that a 10 percent discount can be provided on the course price so the final amount would Rs. 72,000. When asked about scholarships or additional discounts, the counsellor informed that the scholarship exam had already been conducted in the previous month (February) and at that point she could only provide a coupon code for a 10 percent discount. She also informed that if the student follows any teacher of Unacademy on YouTube then they can also use the specific educator’s coupon code to get a 10 percent discount. However, the maximum discount provided would be 10 percent only so the student can use either the coupon code provided by the counsellor or the educator’s code.
During a conversation with a Toppr counsellor, he stated that the price mentioned on the website – Rs 85,000 for the one-year NEET preparation course – is not the updated price and that the amount mentioned in his system is Rs 45,000. He said that he will help get the course at the maximum discount and that unofficially, he can activate access to the course at Rs 21,000. The counsellor informed that if the payment is made directly through the website then the amount mentioned on the website has to be paid, but he will fill the details manually in his system and in that way, the course can be bought at a discounted price. He asked for a phone number which has not been registered with Toppr before to activate the package.
During the conversation, he also mentioned that discounts can also be availed if the student has any references.
The counsellor from Vedantu said that the fee for a two-year JEE Pro Classic course is Rs 67,499, including taxes. However, when asked about the discount, he said the price would be increasing soon and if enrolled early he can provide a discount and offer the course at Rs 50,000.
In a conversation, the admission executive from Aakash Institute at the Uttam Nagar branch in Delhi, provided the following details about the fee structure for a one-year offline course to prepare for IIT JEE 2023: the fee stated was Rs 1,46,180, out of which 60-70 percent was the tuition fee and Rs 5,000, the refundable security deposit. The details of the discounts offered on the basis of performance in the scholarship exam are given in the table below

70% | 45% |
80% | 55% |

The counsellor also said that candidates with a parent working in the Navy, Army, Air Force or one who’s an ex-Aakash student are also eligible for additional discounts. Discounts are provided also on the basis of marks in school exams – 80 percent marks in Class 11 can lead to a 20 percent discount on tuition fee and 90 percent can fetch a discount of around 30 percent on tuition fee.
For a student seeking offline coaching for the two-year IIT JEE course, the tuition fee is Rs 2,10,00 and the total course fee, Rs 3,85,000 plus taxes, the admission executive from Vidya Mandir Classes’ Delhi branch told us in mid-March. He said that the candidate has to compulsorily appear for a scholarship test conducted by the institute. According to him, a minimum of 20 percent marks in the test is compulsory for admission in the institute.
Scholarships are offered on the basis of marks scored in the test, he explained. The topper, scoring 300, marks, gets a 100 percent scholarship; a candidate scoring 290 may get 85-90 percent scholarship on the tuition fee and so on.
When Careers360 had a conversation with an admission executive at the Kolkata branch of the same institute in March, he informed that the tuition fee for admission to a two-year NEET course would be around Rs 1.50 lakh and the total fee, close to Rs 2.85 lakh. He said that scholarships would be provided based on performance in the test whose result is in percentiles. Also, he claimed there was a provision for direct admission in which if the candidate does not appear for the scholarship test, there is a flat 30 percent discount on the tuition fee.
Another conversation with a counsellor for online coaching from Vidya Mandir Classes in March yielded yet another set of numbers. The counsellor said the fee for one year was Rs 1,14,999 plus taxes. However, he also said that if the candidate enrolled in the next two-three days, a discount can be provided as it is pre-admission enrolment and in that case, the total amount for the course will be Rs 54,999 plus the 18 percent tax.
The counsellor also said he could try for a “merit-based discount” if the entire fee is paid at one go and if approved by his senior. This would lead to an additional discount of Rs 1,000-2,000 if the student provides a mark sheet showing scores above 90 percent in Class 10.
We called on the helpline numbers provided on the website and a representative from Allen Kota said the fee for a one-year NEET course would be Rs 1.36 lakh if paid at one go. She stated that scholarships are available based on merit, performance in Olympiads, NTSE and other exams.
According to her, the student could take admission and once the Class 12 board exam results are declared, they would have to submit the necessary documents. Depending on his performance, scholarships would be provided and fees refunded. Only students with 90 percent or above in the Class 12 board exams are eligible for merit scholarships. For further details, candidates would have to visit the institute.
On contacting Narayana institute Delhi branch through the helpline numbers provided on the website, a representative said that the total fee for a two-year NEET course would be Rs. 3.36 lakh. Scholarships are based on the test conducted by the institute. As per the details provided by him, if a candidate opts for the test in online mode then scholarship upto 75% can be availed and if test is taken in offline mode, then even a 100% scholarship was possible.
Another representative from the same institute provided much the same information but added that a visit to the centre was a must for complete information and the best discount details.
In a conversation with Resonance Kolkata, the counsellor provided details for NEET coaching for Classes 11 and 12. She said that if the fees for Class 11 and Class 12 are paid separately, the total fee would stand at round Rs 3 lakh. Scholarship will be based on performance – 95 percent marks in the scholarship exam will fetch a 70 percent discount, or scholarship, on the Class 11 fee.
After Class 11, based on performance in the all-India mock-test conducted by the institute and the scholarship exam, scholarships can be provided on fee for Class 12. Also, she stated that if the fee is paid for two years by December 2022, then the total amount will be Rs 2.20 lakh even if the candidate doesn’t appear for the scholarship exam.
According to the admission counsellor, the total fee for a two-year IIT JEE course is Rs. 2.40 lakh plus taxes. The total fee is divided into two parts – tuition fee which is Rs 1.25 lakh and fixed cost which is Rs. 1.15 lakh and includes modules cost, paper fee.. She said that scholarships are provided on the tuition fee on the basis of merit and performance in the test and that the management decides the scholarship percentage. The counsellor said that the candidate must visit the institute for complete details.

Thank You
First, understand the NEET syllabus clearly for Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Focus only on the NCERT syllabus, as most NEET questions are directly or indirectly based on NCERT, especially in Biology and Chemistry. Avoid unnecessary reference books at this stage.
Divide your 4 months into phases. In the first 2 months, focus on completing the entire syllabus. Study Biology daily, as it carries the highest weightage. Read NCERT Biology line by line, make short notes, and revise regularly. For Chemistry, give priority to NCERT for Inorganic and Organic Chemistry. Practice basic numericals and reactions consistently. In Physics, focus on understanding concepts and practicing standard questions rather than memorizing formulas.
In the third month, start intensive revision along with topic-wise and full-length mock tests. Analyze each test carefully to identify weak areas and work on them. Improve time management and accuracy during this phase.
In the last month, focus mainly on revision and mock tests. Revise NCERT multiple times, especially Biology diagrams, tables, and examples. Avoid learning new topics at the last moment. Maintain a proper sleep schedule and take short breaks to avoid burnout.
Stay consistent, avoid distractions, and believe in your preparation. Even a few focused hours daily with proper planning can make a big difference. All the best!
Scoring 600+ marks in NEET within 4 months is definitely challenging, especially if you are starting almost from scratch, but it is not impossible. It largely depends on your discipline, daily study hours, clarity of basics, and how smartly you plan your preparation.
First, you need to be very realistic and focused. In 4 months, your main goal should be to strengthen NCERT-based concepts rather than trying to study everything in extreme detail. NEET questions are largely NCERT-oriented, especially in Biology and Chemistry. If you can master NCERT thoroughly, your chances improve significantly.
Biology should be your top priority because it carries the maximum weightage and is comparatively scoring. Read NCERT line by line for both Class 11 and 12. Revise multiple times and practice MCQs daily. Even if Physics feels tough initially, focus on high-weightage and formula-based chapters like Modern Physics, Current Electricity, Semiconductors, Ray Optics, and Laws of Motion. Chemistry can be divided smartly: give more time to Organic and Inorganic NCERT, and practice numericals regularly for Physical Chemistry.
You should ideally study 10–12 focused hours daily with a fixed timetable. Daily revision and weekly full-length mock tests are extremely important. Initially, your mock scores may be low, but what matters is consistent improvement and learning from mistakes. Analyze each test carefully to understand weak areas.
Since you are already enrolled in another college, time management becomes even more important. Try to minimize distractions and use early mornings or late evenings effectively. Avoid too many reference books; stick to NCERT and one reliable question bank.
That said, aiming for 600+ in 4 months is ambitious and depends on your learning speed and consistency. Even if you fall slightly short, a strong score improvement can still open opportunities in government or private colleges depending on category and cutoff trends.
Stay disciplined, trust the process, and do not compare your journey with others. Many students have made significant jumps in short durations with focused effort. All the best.

Hello
If you are asking about Motilal Nehru Medical College (MLN Medical College), Prayagraj, then admission is strictly through the NEET exam. For MBBS in this medical college, students usually need a high NEET rank because the cutoff is quite competitive.
In recent years, the closing ranks have often been within the top 20,000–30,000. This means you need a strong score to secure a seat. The exact marks may change every year depending on difficulty and competition.
