    NEET paper leak controversy

The NEET UG 2024 was conducted on May 5, 2024, but soon after, there were rumours about the exam questions being leaked. This NEET paper leak controversy gained pace when people started posting on social media, like Telegram and WhatsApp, saying that the leaked papers of NEET 2024 were being sold for crazy amounts of money, between 30 to 40 lakh for each student.

When the NEET result came out on June 4, 2024, it raised even more eyebrows. This was because an unusual number of 67 students got a perfect score of 720 out of 720, and many of them were from the same NEET exam centre. The NTA initially said these claims were totally false, but more evidence kept coming up.

By June 2024, the Bihar Police's Economic Offences Unit and later the CBI confirmed that the question paper was leaked by a group working together across different states. Eventually, the Supreme Court got involved, and the NEET exam was held again for some students.

    NEET 2025 paper leak threat

With the NEET 2025 exam coming up, there are reports of Telegram channels trying to sell fake NEET 2025 question papers for a lot of money. This has made the NTA and students worried. Many people shared screenshots of these groups on social media, claiming they have access to leaked papers and offering 'sealed' and 'packaged' materials.

Although there haven't been any confirmed leaks for NEET 2025, this situation has made everyone more anxious, especially since Telegram was involved in the 2024 scandal, where leaked papers were shared. To counter this, NTA has released a reporting platform through which any suspicious activity of NEET 2025 paper leak can be shared with the NTA officials.
