Gujarat MBBS Application Form 2018 – Admission Committee for Professional Undergraduate Medical Educational Courses (ACPUGMEC) released the Gujarat MBBS 2018 application form on June 13, 2018. The mode of release of application form of Gujarat MBBS 2018 was online. The counselling authority of Gujarat, earlier released important information related to Gujarat MBBS 2018 application form on June 8, 2018. In accordance with the notice released by the authorities, candidates were also required to show domicile certificate to become eligible for Gujarat MBBS admission 2018.
Candidates needed to necessarily fill in the Gujarat MBBS application form 2018 to be eligible for the 85% state quota seats. By filling up the Gujarat MBBS 2018 application form candidates will be applying to a total of 3,630 MBBS and 1,155 BDS seats in the government and private medical/dental colleges of Gujarat. Candidates who had filled up the application form of Gujarat MBBS 2018 needed to attend the document verification session to be eligible for further admission process. Admissions to Gujarat MBBS 2018 will be taken on the basis of the NEET UG score and the candidates’ preferences. Eligibility Criteria for Gujarat MBBS BDS 2018
The candidates must be Indian citizens.
The candidates must be 17 years of age as on December 31, 2018, and must not be born before May 7, 1993, ie, candidates should not be more than 25 years of age.
- Candidates should be a domicile of the state. In order to fulfill domicile criterion, a candidate should be born in Gujarat or is a resident of the state for at least 10 years.
Candidates applying to Gujarat MBBS BDS 2018 admission must have passed their Class 10 or Class 12 examination from the Gujarat Board or from CBSE or ICSE schools located in Gujarat.
(As per the interim order issued by Gujarat High Court on June 25, the domicile criteria for admission to MBBS/BDS/AYUSH courses in the state of Gujarat has been upheld. Candidates who have not completed Class 10 from the state, but are a domicile are also eligible to participate in the admission process considering they are a domicile of the state. However, candidates who are not a domicile of the state will not be eligible even if they have completed Class 10 and 12 from an Institution located in Gujarat.)
Candidates who have passed their Class 12 standard examination from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs) located outside Gujarat are eligible for Gujarat MBBS BDS admission 2018 if they have studied till Class 8 from any one of the JNVs in Gujarat.
Candidates whose parents are of Indian origin but who do not hold an Indian citizenship and have applied for admission to Gujarat’s MBBS BDS 2018 need to furnish the proof of submission to the ACPUGMEC before the counselling date. Such candidates will be provisionally admitted and will have to submit a certificate of having acquired Indian citizenship by July end of the following year of admission.
Candidates for admission to Gujarat MBBS BDS 2018 must have passed their Class 12 examination in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English individually and must have scored a minimum aggregate of 50% (for unreserved category), 40% ( for reserved category, including physically handicapped of reserved category) and 45% (for physically handicapped and persons with disabilities) in the subjects mentioned.
Candidates seeking admission to the NRI seats in Gujarat MBBS 2018 must have passed their Class 12 qualifying exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology as primary subjects.
Candidates must have secured the required minimum percentile in the NEET 2018 UG examination.

Gujarat MBBS BDS Application Form 2018 - NRI Quota Highlights
- The document verification of NRI candidates will be done only at the office of ACPUGMEC, GMERS Medical College, Gandhinagar.
- Candidates applying under the NRI quota are required to submit a demand draft of INR 10,000/-, payable at ACPUGMEC, Gandhinagar, as process fee after the document verification process.
How to fill Gujarat MBBS application form 2018?
The steps to be followed when filling Gujarat MBBS 2018 application form include:
STEP 1 – Candidate Registration
Candidates need to first obtain a PIN from any of the bank branches designated by ACPUGMEC within the specified application period by paying the application fee which is non-refundable. Candidates should then visit the official website of the Gujarat MBBS 2018 and click on the ‘Apply for Admissions in Medical/Paramedical Courses’ button.
Gujarat MBBS BDS Application Form Fee:
Candidates will need to register as ‘New’ and choose default course name ‘Medical and Paramedical’. After that, the candidates have to select the option ‘Yes’ when asked ‘Have you appeared in NEET (given year) Examination?’ In the next screen which appears before filling of the application form, candidates have to complete the online registration process by entering the requisite details.
Candidates will receive a One Time Password (OTP) on their registered mobile numbers after submitting the above details. Entering the OTP in the space provided will confirm the registration of the candidates after which they can proceed to fill the application form of Gujarat MBBS 2018
STEP 2 – Filling the Application Form
After providing the registration details, candidates can fill the Gujarat MBBS 2018 application form by filling in their personal, contact, academic and NEET details as displayed in the online registration form. The candidates need to enter the correct details as these will be verified during the document verification session. Any error while filling up the Gujarat MBBS application form 2018 might lead to cancellation of candidature
STEP 3 – Uploading documents
Photograph and signature upload - Candidates need to upload their scanned passport size photographs and signatures in the Gujarat MBBS 2018 application form according to the following specifications:-
Photograph in JPG/JPEG format and the size should not be more than 40kb.
Signature in JPG/JPEG format and the size should not be more than 20kb.
STEP 4 – Password and User ID
After uploading their photograph and signature, candidates will be issued a Login/User ID for Gujaraat MBBS application form 2018 after which they will need to create a password of their choice with at least 6 and maximum 12 alphanumeric numbers. They also need to enter a security pin mentioned in the captcha image.
STEP 5 – Editing and Submission
After reading all the instructions for submitting the application form of Gujarat MBBS 2018, candidates should accept the final declaration and then click on ‘Submit Registration Details’. Candidates can also edit the details of Gujarat MBBS application form 2018 if need be.
Candidates are advised to verify the entries made before finally submitting the application form as any changes/modifications to the registration details will not be allowed after finally submitting the Gujarat MBBS 2018 application form.
After completing all the above formalities and submitting the form, candidates must take at least two printouts of the application form by clicking “Print Your Details” for future use during the counselling of Gujarat MBBS 2018. The candidates after filling up the Gujarat MBBS application form 2018 need to attend the document verification session.
