In order to take admission in top AYUSH colleges in India, candidates must qualify the entrance exam and participate in the counselling process conducted by the Ayush Admissions Central Counseling Committee (AACCC) and state AYUSH authorities. However, it must be noted that National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is crucial for candidates who wish to pursue AYUSH courses such as Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS), Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS), Bachelor of Siddha Medicine and Surgery (BSMS), Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine & Surgery (BHMS) and others. Candidates who want to get admission in the top ayush colleges must have the following required eligibility criteria as specified by the authorities. Below, we have given the eligibility criteria for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
Candidates must have qualified 10+2 or equivalent with at least 50% marks from a recognized board with subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
Aspirants must have appeared in NEET
Aspirants must hold a valid degree in BAMS/BHMS/BUMS/BSMS from a recognised institute.
A one-year rotatory internship is mandatory.
He/she should have a minimum aggregate of percentile
Candidates must have appeared in AIAPGET
To take admission in AYUSH colleges, candidates are required to qualify the entrance test and appear for the counselling process. The admission to AYUSH UG courses are done on the basis of scores obtained in NEET exam. While PG admissions consider AIAPGET scores to enrol students in different YUSH courses. It is important for candidates to participate in counselling conducted by the AACCC for UG and PG courses. AACCC conducts AYUSH counselling for 15% All India seats and the remaining 85% seats will be granted by state counselling authorities for undergraduate courses. While, AACCC conducts AIAPGET counselling for 50% AIQ seats and 50% seats are granted by state AYUSH authorities.
