NBE conducts the NEET PG exam and releases NEET PG cutoff. The NEET PG cutoff 2024 is the minimum mark a candidate needs to score to qualify for the exam. The 2024 NEET PG cut-off will be used to determine the merit list for granting admissions. To qualify for the postgraduate medical entrance test, candidates must secure equal to or more than the NEET PG cut-off percentile and scores. The NEET PG 2024 cutoff percentile is 50th for the General category, 40th and 45th for SC/ST/OBC, and General-PH categories, respectively.
The branch wise NEET PG cut off is released in the form of opening and closing ranks at which the admission to various top PG medical colleges in India. The equivalent score of the NEET PG 2024 cutoff percentile is released along with the result. Based on the NEET PG 2024 cut-off, the medical graduates will be shortlisted for 24,547 Doctor of Medicine (MD), 12,780 Master of Surgery (MS), and 922 PG Diploma seats. Based on the NEET PG cut-off 2024, NBE will prepare the merit list for qualified candidates. Aspirants securing the NEET PG 2024 cutoff will be included in the merit list.
Through the NEET PG cutoff, qualified candidates will be granted admission to 50% All India Quota (AIQ), 50% state quota, all deemed/central universities, ESIC/AMFS colleges, and private institutes. The admission is granted based on merit rank, closing rank NEET PG exam, preferences of colleges and courses, seats available, reservation criteria, and other factors to the medical postgraduate courses. As per the latest official brochure, the NEET PG percentile rank shows how well a candidate performed in comparison to others, while the percentage tells how better a candidate has performed in the test. To qualify NEET PG exam, medicos must mandatorily secure the minimum qualifying percentile. NEET PG cut-off General category is 50th percentile, while for SC/ST/OBC aspirants, it is 40th percentile. Based on the NEET PG cut off 2024 percentile, the merit list will be prepared.
The cut off of NEET PG 2024 will be considered for admission to the below-mentioned postgraduate medical seats:
50% All India Quota seats (excluding former Jammu & Kashmir state)
50% State Quota seats (including state of Jammu and Kashmir)

In case two or more candidates secure equal marks in the NEET PG 2024 merit list, NBE uses NEET MD/MS tie-breaking process as mentioned below.
Greater number of correct responses - Candidates with a greater number of correct responses will be placed higher in NEET PG merit list
Lesser number of negative responses - If the tie still exists, Aspirants with less number of negative answers will be allotted better rank
Age - If the tie exists, the older candidate will be given first preference
Higher aggregate marks in MBBS - Candidates securing higher aggregate marks (in percentage) in all MBBS professional examinations will be considered first in NEET PG merit list 2024.
NEET PG 2024 cutoff for government colleges is the last rank and score at which admission is granted to the respective college. The NEET PG 2024 cutoff marks for government college varies from institute to institute. The NEET PG cutoff 2024 depends on various factors such as the number of candidates who appeared, level of difficulty, seats available, and scores obtained in NEET PG exam.
NEET PG 2024 qualifying percentile has been released along with the result.
