PGIMER 2019 – The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh, has released the application form of PGIMER 2019 for July session on March 18. Only the eligible medical graduates can participate for PGIMER 2019 registrations till April 18. The examination authority has also changed the earlier announced PGIMER exam date 2019 on May 12, due to elections in the major states of India. The exam will now be conducted on May 26, 2019. Only the successfully registered aspirants will be allowed to download the PGIMER admit card 2019.

Aspirants who have completed their MBBS from a university/ institute which should be recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI) can appear for the PG medical entrance exam. PGIMER 2019, a computer based test will contain 250 multiple choice questions (MCQs) and only three hours will be allotted to complete the test. The test takers securing PGIMER cutoff 2019 percentile will be included the result. The qualifying percentile for general category is 55, while for SC/ST/OBC, it is 50. Aspirants are required to fulfill the PGIMER eligibility criteria 2019 so as to apply for the post-graduate entrance examination. The PGIMER 2019 eligibility criteria is set by the examination conducting authority, PGIMER Chandigarh. The terms of the eligibility criteria of PGIMER 2019 are listed below.
Educational Qualification: All the candidates applying for PGIMER 2019 are required to complete their MBBS degree from a Medical Council of India (MCI) recognized institution.
Internship Completion: Candidates attempting PGIMER 2019 for July session are required to complete the rotatory one-year internship mandatorily by June 20, 2019.
Other: Candidates must possess a registration certificate from the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council (SMC).

PGIMER Chandigarh will issue the PGIMER 2019 admit card for the July session in the first week of May. The PGIMER 2019 admit card will be released to the candidates who will successfully submit the application form for the exam. The admit card of PGIMER 2019 will be made available in online mode only. Candidates will be required to download the PGIMER admit card 2019 by using the Login ID and password generated at the time of registration for filling up the application form. The exam conducting authority of PGIMER does not release PGIMER answer key. Any source claiming to release the answer key of PGIMER 2019 also must not be trusted. The exam conducting authority does not allow candidates to carry the question paper out of the examination hall and hence there is no means that the PGIMER answer key 2019 is released. However, if any institute will release the PGIMER answer key 2019, will be provided on this page.
The result of PGIMER 2019 for July session will be released on May 27, in online mode. PGIMER, Chandigarh usually declares the result within 24 hours of the exam date. PGIMER Chandigarh will conduct the counselling for PGIMER 2019. The sessions for PGIMER 2019 counselling will be held offline. The counselling for PGIMER 2019 will be held in three rounds subject to availability of seats. For the first round of PGIMER counselling 2019, candidates equal to three times the number of available seats will be invited. Candidates meeting the cutoff percentile requirement will be called for the various rounds of PGIMER 2019 counselling based on their merit rank. All the candidates called for PGIMER counselling 2019 will have to physically report to the counselling centre at the specified time. Any candidate not reporting for the counselling of PGIMER 2019 will not be considered for admission.
A total of approximately 143 seats will be offered by PGIMER 2019 across 20 departments in the disciplines of Master of Surgery (MS) and Doctor of Medicine (MD). The PGIMER 2019 seat reservation for various categories is according to the norms of Government of India. Apart from this, 5% seats are reserved from candidates from rural areas, another 5% of seats are reserved for Persons with Disability, and one seat is reserved for a sponsored/deputed candidate as per the criteria for seat reservation in PGIMER 2019.
