Nationality – Candidate must be an Indian national/Overseas citizens of India
Non-resident Indians/Overseas citizens of India - NRI/OCI candidates who are registered under section 7A of citizenship Act of 1955 can also appear in JIPMER MBBS 2017 entrance examination. It must be noted that NRI/OCI citizens will be considered for admissions under general category only. Further, these candidates who wants to be considered for seats under self-financing scheme have to mention the same while filling up the application form of JIPMER MBBS 2017. Candidates who will exercise this option at later stages will not be considered for admissions under any circumstances.
Age limit to appear in JIPMER MBBS 2017
Candidates must have completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete the same on or before December 31, 2017

A candidate appearing in JIPMER MBBS 2017 must have mandatory passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Biology/Biotechnology, Physics, Chemistry, including practical classes) with English as elective subject as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT)
Candidates belonging to unreserved/General category must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with at least 50% marks taken together in all the subjects.
Reserved/Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes
Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with at least 40% marks taken together in all the subjects.
Orthopedic Physically Challenged
OPH candidates in belonging to General category must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English with at least 45% marks taken together in all the subjects.
