The NTA follows a dress code for male and female candidates appearing for the single largest medical exam, National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). NEET 2025 dress code for female candidates

The authority has specified the NEET dress code for female candidates in its information bulletin. Also, these guidelines will be mentioned in the NEET 2025 admit card. Some of these guidelines are as follows -

  • Female candidates are not allowed to wear brooch, flowers, badges, or jeans with prints. Only simple denim jeans with no prints are allowed.

  • Ornaments such as earrings, nose rings, pendants, necklaces, etc are not at all preferable for females in the examination hall.

  • Female candidates can wear light-coloured denim pants and half-sleeve t-shirts, given that the size of the shirt buttons should be medium.

  • Kurti is not allowed for female candidates during the examination.

Candidates wearing a customary/ cultural dress like a Turban, Hijab, or Burqa have to report at 12:30 PM along with the NEET 2025 admit card to ensure proper frisking. Candidates who follow a certain religion that prescribes a customary dress can appear for NEET 2025 in their customary dress. As per the Delhi High Court order, Sikh candidates are allowed to carry traditional kangha, Kara, and Kirpan with them. Female candidates are also allowed to wear a burka.   • Electronic items: Mobile phones, pen drives, earphones, microphones, Bluetooth devices, and watches, are not permitted inside the examination hall.

  • Eatables: Food items in any form: packed or unpacked and personal water bottles are not permitted inside the test centre. However, candidates with special conditions such as diabetes are allowed to carry their medicines, food, and a transparent water bottle.
