The cut off of NEET UG is of two types - Qualifying cut off and Admission cut off. The NEET qualifying cut off is released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) along with the result of NEET UG exam. The minimum marks that a candidate must score to qualify the NEET exam is the qualifying cut off of NEET UG. Securing a NEET qualifying cut off doesn't guarantee admission to a medical or dental college.
NEET UG admission cut off is decided based on the seat allotment result of the MCC and state counselling authorities. Admission NEET cut off is released in the form of opening and closing rank at which admission to a particular institute is granted. Based on AIR, the authority prepares the NEET merit list, indicating the rank-wise names of candidates who have qualified for the exam.
