The NTA releases the data of the number of students who appeared for the NEET exam. The statistics on how many students appeared for NEET 2025 will be released category-wise as well as state-wise. The number of students who appeared for NEET 2025 exam will be announced by the authority after the conclusion of the exam. As per the previous year's data, 23,33,297 candidates appeared for the NEET 2024, out of which 9,98,205 were male candidates, 13,34,940 were female candidates, and 17 candidates were from third gender. In re-NEET 2024, 813 students appeared for the exam, out of 1,563. NEET 2024 recorded the highest-ever registrations.

The NEET 2025 exam date is May 4, 2025. The NEET 2025 result will be announced at the official website. The authority releases the statistics of NEET 2025 mentioning the total number of registered candidates, total number of appeared candidates, category-wise appeared students, and much more. The total number of students appeared and qualified NEET 2025 is released by the authority at the official website. The detailed statistics of NEET 2025 will be updated below, after release. The previous year's NEET statistics revealed that a total of 13,15,853 candidates qualified for NEET 2024. The total NEET 2024 registrations were 24,06,079.
The NEET exam attracts a massive number of aspirants from all over the country. Every year, lakhs of students appear for this exam in hopes of securing admission to top medical colleges. For NEET 2025, the number of registrations is expected to cross over 22 lakhs. However, the exact number can be known after the authority release the NEET 2025 statistics.
NEET 2024 had recorded the highest ever registrations with a whopping 24,06,079 students applying for the exam. Among the states, the number of NEET candidates from Maharashtra leads the race with the highest number of registrations, followed by Uttar Pradesh.

As per the statistics released by the authority, 11.45 lakh candidates qualified for NEET 2023. Candidates from the General category who qualified in NEET 2023 amount to 3.12 lakh whereas those qualifying from SC and ST categories were 1.53 lakh and 56.3 K respectively.
According to the data, in NEET-UG 2022, the number of registered male candidates increased to 807538, out of which 763545 appeared for the exam, and 429160 candidates qualified for admission. On the other hand, in NEET-UG 2021, 710979 male candidates registered, out of which 681168 appeared for the exam, and 375260 candidates qualified for admission to medical colleges.
Similarly, in NEET-UG 2022, the number of registered female candidates increased to 1064794, out of which 1001015 appeared for the exam, and 563902 candidates qualified for admission. And in NEET-UG 2021, 903782 female candidates registered, out of which 863093 appeared for the exam, and 494806 candidates qualified for admission.
