Careers360: Congratulations on emerging as a NEET PG 2022 topper! How are you feeling about your results?

Dr. Joseph: I feel really happy and a little surprised.

Careers360: Tell us something about your background.

Dr. Joseph: I am an MBBS graduate from Govt. Medical College, Thrissur, Kerala

Careers360: What motivated you to pursue medicine as a career?

Dr. Joseph: My Love for the subject and its career safety.

Careers360: Where did you complete your rotatory internship?

Dr. Joseph: I completed my internship at Govt. Medical College, Thrissur, Kerala

Careers360: How did your family support you in your journey?

Dr. Joseph: As I studied from home, they played a major role. They were my support system throughout my MBBS and PG preparation journey.

Careers360: Did you appear for any other PG medical entrance examination?

Dr. Joseph: I had attempted last NEET PG for which I got a rank of 17000 and INI CET for which I got a rank of 19.

Careers360: What are your thoughts on the NEET PG 2022 postponement that many candidates requested? Do you think the exam should've been postponed?

Dr. Joseph: I had no worries about it as my primary target was INI CET. The postponement did help me with a few extra revisions.

Careers360: How did you prepare for NEET PG 2022?

Dr. Joseph: I used Marrow as the primary source for my preparation. I watched the video lectures and used the Qbank.

Careers360: How much time did you devote to self-study vs. coaching and how do you manage to do both?

Dr. Joseph: Both went hand in hand. For almost 10 hours a day, I did my preparation.

Careers360: Did you take any mock tests to prepare for NEET PG 2022 preparations?

Dr. Joseph: I gave the mock tests from Marrow. Both the INI CET and NEET PG national mocks.

Careers360: Did you have any specific exam day strategy?

Dr. Joseph: Not to study much during the last few days to minimise stress

Careers360: What are your hobbies and did you find time to engage in your hobbies throughout your NEET PG 2022 preparations?

Dr. Joseph: I used to play ukulele, Workout a little, and watch one episode of TV series a day.

Careers360: Any message or advice for future medical aspirants?

Dr. Joseph: Never give up on your dream. Be willing to sacrifice your leisure time for a few months to enjoy later on.
