So its my personal opinion that one should not make demarcations while studying a particular chapter into the entrance or board-related portions but must strive to get the essence of the subject. While practising questions one must think about being board or entrance oriented.”
JIPMER MBBS 2018 AIR 1, Ankala Anirudh Babu focuses on the importance of NCERT and says, “The most important suggestion I can give is to make sure you revise your NCERT books as thoroughly and as frequently as possible, especially for Biology. For Physics and Chemistry, apart from studying NCERT texts, solve as many model papers and sample papers to get familiar with the concepts. The main thing to know is about the type of questions that will be asked and prepare accordingly. It will be a huge loss if you do not know the pattern of questions hence I would say it is best to go through the question papers of the last 5-6 years at least.”
Prerak Tripathi, JIPMER 2018 AIR 3 is of the opinion that one should have a more holistic approach while attempting JIPMER MBBS entrance and said, “Being weak in English, I kept revising the lessons till the last day before the exam. Also, NCERT books were my Bible.”
Kushagra Pandey, JIPMER 2016 AIR 1, shared “I used to study for 10 to 11 hours every day. I have always focused on completing the syllabus and then revising the concepts. I never decided how many hours I had to study, but I used to decide what topics I had to prepare and revise. For me, revision is the key to success.”
Highlighting the importance of managing the allotted time JIPMER 2017 AIR 2, Abhishek Dogra said, “The main concern for me was time management. Initially, to manage time, I used to solve previous years’ question papers and try and finish them with the intention of leaving sometime in my hand.”

Anish, NEET is just an entrance exam and you need to secure more than the cut offs for qualifying in NEET. Once the results have been declared, the respective States will release the online registration process for State Counselling. For example, if you belong to Haryana, you can participate only for Haryana State Counselling and also in any other State Counselling whose domicile you have. Now only 85% of the seats in Government Medical Colleges are available for State Counselling. The rest of 15% seats are collected from all States except for Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh and the counselling is held at All India Level. Central Universities, Deemed Universities and IP Quota of ESIC is filled through the All India Counselling alone. Now once your State releases the notification for State Counselling, you have to register online and pay a non refundable registration fees and refundable security deposit. You have to select the colleges of your preference and lock them. If you are allotted a seat and you are happy with the allotment, you need to visit the designated Document verification centers and go through the process of document verification. If the authorities are satisfied with the authenticity of the documents, you have to visit the college and pay the fees and seek admission. Now lets say if you are not happy with the college, you can choose to opt out of the college by a process called Free Exit and participate in 2nd round of counselling. The free exit option is only available for 1st round. The process is the same with All India Counselling too. Please visit our page:
for more information.

Raj, You haven't mentioned the State Counselling you are enquiring about. Neverthless, as of now, only NEET application forms have been released and State Counselling registrations will begin only after the NEET 2020 results have been declared. Now that NEET 2020 will be conducted on May 3rd and the results will be declared a month later in June, the State registrations only will be available from July and not any time soon.
Yes you will be able to change it when correction window opens.
You have mentioned that you are from OBC category and have OBC NCL certificate. You can fill the NEET application form with either of the two OBC / UR. You have the OBC Non Creamy Layer certificate so you can fill OBC option to avail the benefits of this category. It doesn't matter much if you have the certificate of OBC NCL because lastly you have to show the certificate only as a document of proof.
Your NEET brochure has been successfully mailed to your registered email id .
