Diplomate of National Board Centralized Entrance Test (DNB-CET) 2017 is being held by National Board of Examinations (NBE) in November-December 2016 for January session admission to a number of specialized six-year medical programmes including plastic surgery, neurosurgery, cardio-thoracic surgery and paediatric surgery. The centralized entrance test is conducted twice a year for two session beginning each in July and January months. DNB CET Eligibility Criteria 2017

NBE will be announcing eligibility criteria of DNB CET 2017 in the month of September. DNB CET 2017 eligibility criteria mentions minimum educational qualification and age needed for the PG entrance exam applications. It is mandatory to meet DNB CET 2017 eligibility conditions else the candidature will be cancelled at later stages of admission. The general eligibility criteria of DNB CET 2017 specifies that the applicant should have a MBBS degree / provisional certificate as recognised by Medical Council of India (MCI) awarded in his/her name, besides completing one year of compulsory rotatory internship on or before January 31, 2017.


DNB CET Application Form 2017
NBE will begin the application form of DNB CET 2017 from September 2016. DNB CET 2016 application forms can be filled in online mode only as no other modes will be accepted. Candidates who wish to apply for DNB CET 017 need to register through the official natboard link. Applicants will need to provide some basic personal and educational qualification details including name, e-mail id, mobile number and academic marks, while registering for DNB CET 2017 applications. Candidates must note that once the registration for DNB CET 2017 applications has been made, no further modifications will be allowed. Applicants will also have to remit an exam fee of Rs. 4500 in an online mode using Credit Cards/ Debit Cards/ Net Banking along with the DNB CET application form 2017. The duly filled DNB CET 2017 application forms need to be submitted by the third week of October 2016 or the last date of submission of application.

DNB CET Admit Card 2017
NBE will be issuing admit card of DNB CET 2017 in November 2016 to only those candidates who have successfully registered and applied for the centralised entrance test. DNB CET 2017 admit card can be downloaded through the official natboard link by providing user name and password as generated at the time of registration. DNB CET 2017 admit cards which will be treated as hall ticket to appear in the PG medical exam shall mention candidature and exam details including roll name, number of the applicant  besides examination date, timing and venue. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the NBE administered specialized PG medical course entrance exam under any circumstances, without a valid DNB CET 2017 admit card (hall ticket).


DNB CET Exam Pattern 2017
As per the exam pattern of DNB CET 2017, NBE will be conducting DNB CET in a three-day window between last week of November 2016 and first week of December 2016. The examination will be held online (computer based format) in two sessions each day. The online DNB CET paper will comprise 300 questions of multiple-choice questions (MCQ) type to be answered in allotted time duration of three hours and thirty minutes. There will be an additional 15 minutes tutorial prior to the start of the medical entrance exam, specifying ‘how to take the online DNB CET 2017’. Following the online DNB CET 2017 exam pattern, candidates will have to answer the MCQs, by clicking on correct option among the four options given against each question. The questions will cover a number of topics including per-clinical, para-clinical and clinical taught at MBBS level. In addition to the above information regarding DNB CET 2017 exam pattern, candidates must note that NBE does not follow negative marking policy; therefore, no marks will be deducted for any wrongly attempted questions in the PG medical entrance exam.

DNB CET Result 2017
National Board of Examinations will be announcing DNB CET 2017 result in the third week of January. Candidates can check their results of DNB CET 2017 and download the scores through official natboard link by providing user name and password. DNB CET 2017 results will mention qualifying status of the test takers in NBE administered centralized entrance test. As per DNB CET 2017 result, a test taker will considered qualifying in the PG medical entrance test if he secures the minimum marks. The minimum qualifying marks for DNB CET 2017 is as follows–

The DNB CET 2016 result and scores will be valid for the current admission session, i.e., January 2017. Once the results of DNB CET 2017 has been declared, candidates can download mark sheet-cum-result certificate for the NBE registered DNB CET 2017.


DNB CET Counselling 2017
NBE will be holding DNB CET 2017 counselling for admission to DNB broad speciality including direct 6-years courses at various NBE accredited medical institutions in India. The candidates who will be qualifying in the PG entrance exam can participate in the counselling of DNB CET 2017, which will be organised in centralized online mode. There shall be a total of three rounds for DNB CET 2017 counselling, where the second round will have an extension followed by a third round, if necessary. The seat allocation to the candidates will be based on merit during DNB CET 2017 counselling. Candidates will have to be present in-person during the seat allocation of DNB CET 2017. Besides to the above information regarding DNB CET 2017 counselling, candidates participating in the counselling and seat allocation process will need to deposit an amount of Rs. 2500 through demand draft drawn in favour to ‘National Board of Examinations’, payable at New Delhi, on the day of counselling of DNB CET at the venue. Those who wish to participate in further rounds of DNB CET 2017 online counselling will need to remit the counselling fee of Rs. 2500 through online payment gateway process using Credit Cards/ Debit Cards/ Net Banking facilities.
