Will NEET 2022 be Postponed - The National Testing Agency ( NTA) official authority to conduct the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), released the NEET admit card 2022 links on the official website neet.nta.nic.in .The link to download the NEET admit card 2022 is provided below. As per the latest updates, Delhi High Court has dismissed the plea filed by the aspirants demanding the NEET 2022 postponement. Earlier, Amid massive demands from students to postpone NEET UG 2022, a circular doing the rounds on the social media claiming that the NEET UG 2022 exam was postponed to September 4. However, the fact check wing of the Press Information Bureau (PIB) clarified that NEET UG 2022 has not been postponed and will be held as per the schedule.

Why may NEET 2022 postpone?

The concern on NEET UG postponement 2022 can be checked from below mentioned points raised by medical aspirants.

Less time left for NEET preparation: The NEET UG counselling for mop rounds of states and AIQ has just been completed. In various states, the NEET UG counselling process is still going on. The droppers have very less time to prepare for NEET-UG due to a very delay in counselling. The droppers will hardly get only 3 months for NEET-UG 2022 preparation, which is not enough.

Delay in previous MBBS academic session: As per the latest update, the academic session for MBBS previous session has started recently so the new session can't be started before February/March 2023. Students have their concern from authorities that Instead of making students sit in their homes & wait for NEET UG counselling for 6-7 months, give them proper time for preparation.

Delay in NEET UG counselling session: After COVID, NEET UG 2020 was held on 13th September & NEET UG 2021 was held on 12th September. And the counselling process for 2021 took more than 6 months. How can NEET-UG 2022 be on 17th July? Is just conducting the exam & synchronizing the session the only motive? At least 11 months of preparation time is needed. Delay the exam & do the counselling process earlier then the session won't get postponed & the students will also be benefited.

JEE & NEET dates: There are many students who aspire for both NEET-UG & JEE Main. The 2nd attempt for JEE Main 2022 will commence from July 21, which is just three days after the scheduled NEET-UG 2022 exam date.

Despite having two attempts, JEE Main 2022 has been postponed by two months. The April attempt is postponed till June end & the May attempt till July end. So JEE Advanced which was scheduled on 3 July has also been postponed till August 28. Whereas, NEET UG which has only one attempt and is usually conducted after completion of JEE Main, is now scheduled before the 2nd attempt of JEE Main 2022.

Boards & NEET dates: The CBSE board mathematics paper is scheduled on June 7, 2022, & Computer science paper is on June 12. As per the board schedule, the board exam will be concluded on June 13. As per the previous year's trend, NEET UG has always been conducted 45-50 days after the CBSE examination but this time roughly a month has been provided for NEET-UG preparation. On the other hand, the ISC 2nd semester exam will end on June 1 & one month doesn't seem enough to prepare for the NEET-UG examination. CUET exams are scheduled for the first and second week of July.

Students have also brought to light the past trends of gaps between the dates of both NEET and JEE exams and approached the NTA authority stating NEET-UG & JEE (Advanced) are always conducted every year with a gap of one week. What is the NEET exam?

NEET is a pen and paper-based exam conducted for admission to 91,827 MBBS, 27,698 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 525 BVSc, and AH seats. As per NEET 2022 exam pattern, the exam will contain 200 questions, out of which, aspirants need to answer only 180 questions.

NEET 2022 question paper will contain questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. The marking scheme of NEET 2022 specified that 4 marks will be awarded for every correct answer, one mark will be deducted for every wrong answer and no marks will be given for any unanswered question.
