Detailed Features of JIPMER MBBS 2018 Exam Pattern

Candidates can check below the details of some important features of the exam pattern of JIPMER MBBS 2018.

  • Mode of JIPMER MBBS ExamJIPMER MBBS 2018 will be conducted in online mode, i.e. it will be a computer-based examination.

  • Duration and Shifts of Examination: JIPMER MBBS 2018 will be a two and a half hour duration test. It will be conducted in two shifts, i.e. morning and afternoon, from 10:00 A.M. to 12:30 P.M. for morning shift and from 3:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M. for afternoon shift. Applicants of JIPMER MBBS 2018 will be randomly distributed in these two shifts.

  • Language of Exam: JIPMER MBBS 2018 exam will be conducted in English language only. The question paper of JIPMER MBBS 2018 will not be given in any language other than English. 

  • Types of Questions in JIPMER MBBS 2018: JIPMER MBBS 2018 will contain multiple-choice questions. Each question will have four alternatives, amongst which single best response will have to be chosen by the candidate. 

  • Number of Questions: JIPMER MBBS 2018 will contain 200 questions in total with questions asked from Physics, Chemistry, Biology, English, Quants and Reasoning.

  • Marking Scheme of JIPMER MBBS 2018: As per the exam pattern of JIPMER 2018, a candidate will be allotted four marks for every correct response, while no marks will be deducted for incorrect answers or questions in which no response is given by the candidate.

  • Distribution of Questions in JIPMER MBBS Question Paper: The question paper of JIPMER MBBS 2018 will consist of 200 questions, with 60 questions each asked from Physics, Chemistry and Biology, while 10 questions each will be asked from English Comprehension and Logic & Quantitative Reasoning. JIPMER MBBS 2018 Syllabus

JIPMER MBBS Syllabus 2018 is prepared on the basis of syllabus as prescribed by State boards and CBSE for Class 11th and 12th. The questions in the question paper of JIPMER MBBS will be asked from Class 11th and 12th syllabus only.

Candidates are advised to go through sample papers of JIPMER MBBS 2018 and previous year question papers to prepare for the exam. Practicing mock tests will help candidates predict their preparation and performance. A mock test is also made available by JIPMER Puducherry to familiarize candidates with the interface and question types of JIPMER MBBS 2018. Qualifying Marks of JIPMER MBBS 2018

Candidates will need to score marks equivalent to certain percentiles in order to qualify JIPMER MBBS 2018 exam and proceed further in MBBS admission process. The minimum required percentile is different for different categories. Candidates can check category-wise minimum required percentile from the table given below.
