Seat availability: The NEET cutoff for states vary depending upon the number of medical or dental seats in the state. States with more government and private medical colleges tend to have lower cutoffs because of more number of seat availability.
Category: The NEET 2025 state wise cutoff also differs vastly based on the reservation category. Cutoff for general and EWS category is higher as compared to reserved category.
Domicile policies: Although candidates from one state can apply for the NEET counselling in another state, however due to state domicile policies, seats are generally limited to domicile holders of that state.
Overall performance from the state: If a large number of candidates from a particular state perform well in the NEET exam, the cutoff for that state is likely to rise.
