The Rajasthan domicile certificate requirements for NEET is set by the Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical and Dental Admission/Counselling Board and Principal & Controller, SMS Medical College, and Hospital, Jaipur. Rajasthan NEET eligibility for local candidates

The local residents of Rajasthan must have the following eligibility criteria in order to pursue medicine in top medical colleges in Rajasthan. The aspirants will be required to have Rajasthan domicile criteria for NEET 2025 as specified by the Rajasthan counseling authority.   • Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with a minimum pass percentage of 50% marks taken together in Physics,Chemistry, and Biology/Bio-technology for the general category and 40% for reserved categories.

  • Aspirants must have qualified for the NEET exam.

  • Candidates must have attained 17 years of age at the time of admission.

Rajasthan state domicile rules for NEET UG candidates

Candidates wishing to participate in 85% state quota counseling of Rajasthan NEET UG must meet the NEET domicile criteria set by the authorities. In each state, respective authorities set domicile rules in order to get admission in top medical courses. Check the NEET 2025 Rajasthan domicile certificate guidelines below:

  • One of the parents of the candidate should have continuously stayed in Rajasthan for at least 10 years and the candidate has studied for a minimum of 5 years during this period in a recognized institution in the state.

  • Candidates who are bonafide residents of Rajasthan but are studying in other states are also eligible.

  • A candidate must be the son or daughter of serving or retired government employees of state cadre who has served over 3 years with state government.

  • A candidate must be the son or daughter of serving or retired, permanent government employee of Rajasthan who has put in at least 3 years of service on the last date of submission of the online application form in the year of admission.

  • The applicant should be the son or daughter of a serving, retired, permanent government employee from the education department who has worked in the state for 3 years preceding the last date of submission of the online application form.

  • Applicants one of the parents must be serving, retired permanent government employee of Indian defense of Rajasthan origin irrespective of his place of posting must produce certificate( proforma – A) from the employer to the effect that his state of origin is Rajasthan at the time of his entry into service.

  • Candidate’s parents should be serving, permanent employees of Indian defense and posted in Rajasthan must submit ( proforma – B certificate) at the time of last date of submission of the online application form for admission.

  • One of the candidate's parents should be a serving, retired person of para military forces of Rajasthan origin, irrespective of his place of posting should produce (certificate proforma – A).

  • Applicants one of the parents should be a serving personnel of para military forces and is posted in Rajasthan (certificate proforma – B) at the time of last date of submission of the online application form for admission.

  • One of the parents of a candidate should be a Judge of Rajasthan High Court need to submit an affidavit stating that no such benefit is being claimed or availed by them in any other state.

NEET 2025 Rajasthan domicile criteria for NRI candidates

The NRI candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria for NEET UG Rajasthan domicile candidates discussed below:

  • Applicants one of the parents should be an NRI.

  • Candidates' whose NRI relatives are blood brothers or sisters can also apply.

  • All NRI candidates must submit a certificate issued by the Indian embassy. Those who do not carry such a certificate must submit a duly notarized undertaking of the notary public of the foreign country

  • In case, if the candidate is taken as a ward by other relative. Such students are also eligible. The nearest NRI relative can only be considered:

  1. Real brother and sister of candidate’s parents

  2. Candidates grandfather and grandmother.

  3. Candidates maternal grandfather and maternal grandmother

  4. Paternal and maternal cousins

Who can apply for Rajasthan domicile for NEET?

To apply for Rajasthan domicile for NEET 2025, candidates one of the parents must have continuously resided in Rajasthan for a minimum of 10 years and the candidate has studied there at least 5 years during this period in a recognized school in the state. Meanwhile, candidates who are bonafide residents of Rajasthan are also eligible. Additionally, candidates whose parents are NRI or whose NRI relatives share blood relation with their parents can also apply.
