AIIMS MBBS 2019 – AIIMS, New Delhi has started the AIIMS MBBS 2019 basic registration process on November 30, 2018. The last date for the basic registrations is January 3, 2019. Candidates must complete the basic registration process of AIIMS MBBS application form 2019 to take the medical entrance test. AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam date has been announced which is on May 25 and 26. Only the registered candidates will be eligible to participate for final registration process, which will commence from February 21, 2019. AIIMS MBBS 2019 will be a computer based entrance test which is conducted in four shifts. Through AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam, aspirants will be offered admission to 15 AIIMS Institutes, however, the total number of seats has not been disclosed yet. Apart from NEET and JIPMER, AIIMS MBBS is the only entrance examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses. Every year, more than 3 lakh aspirants appear for the entrance test. Candidates who have completed their Class 12 from any recognized board as mentioned in the eligibility criteria can apply for the entrance examination. What's New in AIIMS MBBS 2019?
- Change in Eligibility Criteria for PwD candidates- The minimum marks required to become eligible to take AIIMS MBBS 2019 in Class 12 in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology is 45%. Earlier, the minimum required percentage is 50%.
- Six new AIIMS Institutes- For the academic session 2019-20, six new AIIMS are introduced located in Kalyani, Raebareli, Gorakhpur, Bathinda, Deogarh and Bibinagar, making a total of 15 institutes across India.
- Increase in Seat Intake- With the introduction of new AIIMS, the seat intake for the next academic session will also increase. It is expected that more than 1000 seats will be offered by AIIMS in total.
- Change in AIIMS application process- The AIIMS MBBS application form 2019 can be filled through PAAR (Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration) facility. As per the PAAR facility, the application process will involve two major steps - Basic Registration and Final Registration. The Basic Registration will require submission of basic details. In the Final Registration, the candidates need to submit qualification details, application fee, and exam city choice.

Before applying for the entrance test, aspirants must go through AIIMS MBBS eligibility criteria to check whether they are eligible or not. Check the basic eligibility criteria which must be fulfilled by aspirants are mentioned below.
Age: Students should have attained or will attain the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2019. Candidates born on or after January 2, 2003 are not eligible to apply.
Academic Qualification: Aspirants should have passed Class 12 or equivalent examination from the recognized board from any Indian state with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the main subject will be eligible.
Minimum marks required: General and OBC applicants must have obtained an aggregate of 60% in English, Chemistry. Physics and Biology. SC and ST candidates must secure at least 50% in total. The OPH candidates must secure at least 45% in Class 12.
The basic registration process of AIIMS application form 2019 has started from November 30, 2018. Candidates who have read the eligibility criteria can fill the AIIMS MBBS 2019 application form in online mode. The application process has been changed and will be done through Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR).

The payment of application fee will be done in the final registration, therefore, no information for AIIMS MBBS registration fees has been provided by the authority. Since, the fees for the last three years has not been changed, thus it is expected to be the same as the previous year. The application fee of Rs. 1500 for general and OBC candidates must be paid in online mode through credit/debit cards or net banking. For SC/ST aspirants, the application fee is Rs. 1200.
AIIMS MBBS 2019 exam centres are the venue where the examination will be held. Last year, the UG entrance exam was conducted in 155 major cities of India. This year, the authority might increase the number of exam cities and centres. The selection of test centres will be done by applicants while filling the application form as per their preferences and convenience. Aspirants can select at least three preferences of exam centres, of which the authority will allot one. The selection of exam centres will be done on the basis of availability of seats, while the selection will be done on the first-come-first-served basis. The hall ticket of AIIMS MBBS 2019 will be issued to only those candidates whose application form will be accepted by the authority. Students must carefully verify the admit card after downloading to check the details like name, address, roll number, photograph, signature among others have been published correctly. AIIMS MBBS Exam Day Guidelines 2019
It is important for an aspirant to read the exam day guidelines provided by AIIMS, New Delhi to give their best shot without any hindrance.
AIIMS MBBS 2019 will be conducted on two days across four shifts. Candidates will be randomly allotted their slot and hence, the details will be displayed in the admit card to know the exact date and time of examination.
As per the timings are concerned, it is advised to reach the exam centre at least one hour before the commencement of AIIMS MBBS exam. This will give them proper time for several pre-examination security check such as biometric verification, photo capture etc.
Aspirants should not carry any stationery items with them. The pens and rough sheet will be provided by AIIMS authority outside the exam centre. The rough work will only be done on the sheet provided and back side of the admit card.
Along with that, no electronic items, ornaments or text materials will be allowed inside the examination hall. No arrangements will be done for safekeeping of these items at the centre.
The only document to be carried inside the exam hall is AIIMS MBBS admit card 2019 along with an identity proof.

No official answer key will be published by AIIMS, New Delhi, as the entrance exam is conducted in computer-based mode. However, several coaching institutes like Allen, Aakash, Resonance among others may release the answer key based on the memory of candidates. In case any answer key will be released, it will be provided on this page. AIIMS MBBS answer key 2019 will comprise of answers to the questions asked in the test. Candidates can match their marked answers with the solutions provided in the answer key. Thereafter, they can calculate their approximate marks using the official marking scheme.
AIIMS, New Delhi will declare AIIMS MBBS 2019 result on June 12, 2019. The roll number-wise and rank-wise result will be released by the authority in the form of a merit list. Only candidates who will secure the minimum qualifying percentage can check their result. The merit list will include name, total scores, subject-wise percentile scores and qualifying status of qualified aspirants.
Along with the result, the individual percentile score cards will also be released and can be downloaded by logging in with the required credentials.
AIIMS MBBS Merit List 2019
The merit list will be prepared by AIIMS, New Delhi, including the final scores of candidates who have qualified the entrance examination. Only aspirants included in the merit list will be called for counselling process, provided they must secure the minimum cut off percentile as set by the authority. Students called for counselling from the merit list will be four times than the number of seats available. Candidates included in the result-cum-merit list will be called for the first round of counselling.
The cut off is the minimum qualifying percentage which must be secured by aspirants to pass the entrance test. AIIMS, New Delhi shortlist the eligible candidates for counselling process on the basis of AIIMS MBBS 2019 cut off. Candidates belonging from general category must secure 50% in AIIMS exam; 7 seats for Foreign Nationals, while OBC and SC/ST category aspirants must obtain 45% and 40%, respectively. Only aspirants who will secure equal to or more than the minimum qualifying cut off will be called for the counselling process.
The percentile corresponding to the qualifying cut off percentage will be announced along with the result. The cut off percentile will be determined through the normalisation procedure, as AIIMS MBBS exam will be conducted in four shifts. Once the result is declared, candidates included in the merit list will be called for the counselling process as per their merit rank. From the year 2018, AIIMS, New Delhi has started conducting AIIMS MBBS counselling in online mode. The first round of counselling will begin in the last week of June 2019. Aspirants called for counselling and seat allotment procedure will be four times than the number of seats available. Last year, a total of 7,617 aspirants were qualified to appear for the counselling process. The counselling will be done in three rounds along with a separate open and spot rounds. During the counselling procedure, aspirants need to register themselves by entering the required details. During the registration process, candidates must provide their preferences of courses as well as colleges for admission. The result of the first round of seat allotment will be released in the second week of July 2019. Based on the choices filled, seats available and AIIMS MBBS AIR, the seat will be allotted to the eligible candidates.
Students included in the result of the first round of counselling will be required to report at the allotted institute for completion of admission process with documents to be verified. Once the first round of AIIMS MBBS 2019 counselling will be over, the authority will start the second round of counselling from the third week of July 2019.
As per the new notification, the admission to UG medical courses will be done in six new AIIMS institutes, making a total of 15 institutes. However, AIIMS, New Delhi has not released any official information regarding the seat matrix and reservations. Thus, candidates can check the total AIIMS MBBS seats based on the last year data. The latest seat matrix and reservations of AIIMS MBBS 2019 will be updated as soon as released.
Until 2018, unreserved category candidates were eligible for 400 seats, OBC aspirants were eligible for 215 seats, while SC and ST category students were eligible for 121 and 64 seats, respectively. Of the total seats offered, 5% in each institute is reserved for PwD candidates. Only 7 seats in AIIMS, New Delhi has been reserved for Foreign Nationals.
