AIIMS MBBS 2020 - All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi has announced the exam date of AIIMS MBBS, which will be conducted on May 30 and 31, 2020. The regulatory body will organise AIIMS 2020 for admission to 1205 MBBS seats offered by 15 institutes across India. Every year, more than 3 lakh aspirants appear for AIIMS UG computer-based exam. AIIMS and JIPMER are the only entrance exam besides NEET conducted for UG medical admissions. The conducting authority has also announced AIIMS MBBS result 2020 date, which is to be declared on June 16.

Latest - Dr. Harsh Vardhan, Minister of Health and Family Welfare announced on October 4, 2019 that NEET will serve as single medical entrance exam for UG courses in the nation. AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS scrapped.
AIIMS MBBS 2020 application form will be released in the last week of November 2019. In the previous year, AIIMS, Delhi has introduced the PAAR facility through which the registration of AIIMS 2020 can be done in two stages - basic and final. Only candidates who will complete basic and final registration process will be issued AIIMS admit card 2020 in the second week of May. AIIMS MBBS is to be conducted in two sessions per day. The online exam consists of 200 objective type questions containing multiple choice and reason assertive and only three hours and thirty minutes will be allotted to complete the test.

Students who will meet the specified eligibility conditions set by the authority will be allowed to take AIIMS MBBS exam. The following eligibility criteria of AIIMS MBBS 2020 must be fulfilled by medical applicants.
Age: Candidates should have attained the age of 17 years as on December 31, 2020. Also, anyone born on or after January 2, 2004 cannot apply for the exam.
Qualification: An aspirant must have qualified Class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board or university from an Indian state with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as the main subjects.
Minimum percentage: It is essential to qualify 10+2 standard or equivalent exam with the minimum qualifying percentage. Candidates belonging to Unreserved (UR) and Other Backward Class (OBC) category must obtain 60%, while Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates have to secure at least 50% to be eligible to appear for the exam. PWBD candidates from any category have to secure 45% only.
Note: Aspirants who will not fulfill above-mentioned AIIMS MBBS eligibility criteria 2020 will not be allowed to appear for the computer based exam.
AIIMS, New Delhi will release the application form of AIIMS MBBS 2020 in the last week of November 2019. The registration can only be filled in online mode. As per the new Prospective Applicants Advanced Registration (PAAR) facility, AIIMS 2020 application form can be filled in two stages - basic and final registration.
Students who wish to appear for AIIMS MBBS exam must complete both the stages successfully. Those who will complete the basic registration will be allowed to generate a Registration Unique Code (RUC) for AIIMS MBBS 2020 final stage. With the help of RUC, candidates can fill the remaining final registration form. It is necessary to check the basic eligibility criteria before registering for UG entrance examination.

For the successful submission of AIIMS MBBS 2020 application form, it becomes mandatory to pay the registration fees. The application fees can be paid in online mode only using debit/credit card or net banking. Since, the authority has not released any official notification, therefore, it is expected that the AIIMS application fees will remain the same as previous year. The exam centres of AIIMS MBBS 2020 is the venue where online exam will be held. Along with the brochure, AIIMS, Delhi will release the list of AIIMS MBBS cities 2020 where these test centres will be located. Last year, the exam was conducted in 151 AIIMS 2020 exam cities. As no official announcement has been done till yet, therefore, it can be expected that AIIMS MBBS 2020 will also be held in these cities. Aforementioned, candidates have to select one AIIMS MBBS exam centre 2020 while filling the final registration form. In step 6 of selection of exam city, the real time availability of seats in a particular city will be displayed. An aspirant have to opt one city carefully, as it cannot be changed later. The allocation process of exam centre will be done on a first come first serve basis. The detailed name and address of allotted AIIMS MBBS exam centre will be mentioned in the admit card.
AIIMS, New Delhi will release AIIMS UG 2020 admit card in the second week of May. Only those whose application form will be accepted by the authority can download the hall ticket of AIIMS MBBS 2020. In order to download the admit card, candidates need to enter registration ID, RUC and provided captcha code.
It is mandatory for aspirants to cross-check the details printed in the admit card of AIIMS MBBS 2020. The hall ticket will display name of candidate, roll number, candidate ID, exam centre details, date of birth, date as well as time of exam and other important guidelines to be followed at the centre. In case of any discrepancy in AIIMS 2020 admit card, the matter should be immediately informed to the admission controller. On the day of exam, admit card is one of the essential documents which must be carried to the test centre. Since, AIIMS will be conducted in two sessions per day. Therefore, aspirants are advised to select the slot carefully.
Students must try to report an hour before the reporting time to avoid any last minute hustle. With this, it will provide some time for pre-exam checking.
No stationery items such as pen, pencil, geometry, rough sheet, pager, chits or among others should be carried inside the exam hall.
Any kind of electronic items such as wrist watches, cell phones, calculator, electronic gadgets, bluetooth devices and other things should not be carried at the exam centre.

After the completion of the entrance exam, the leading coaching institute like Resonance, Allen Kota may release the answer key of AIIMS MBBS 2020. Such answer keys will be based on the memory of students. However, it should also be noted that AIIMS, New Delhi will not release AIIMS answer key 2020. As per the Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA), no student can expose any of the question in any format either written or verbal and through any medium. While filling the application form, the applicants have to agree with the terms and conditions related to NDA.
AIIMS, New Delhi will release the result of AIIMS MBBS 2020 on June 16, in online mode. The authority will declare AIIMS result 2020 in the form of merit list. Two separate merit lists namely rank-wise and roll number-wise merit lists will be published. The result-cum-merit list will display roll number, overall AIIMS rank, category rank, subject-wise and total percentile secured in the examination. Only aspirants who will secure the minimum qualifying percentile as specified by the authority can be considered eligible for counselling process.
Once the result will be announced, the qualified candidates can download AIIMS MBBS scorecards 2020 by entering registration ID, code, password and capctcha code. It is mandatory to download and carry the scorecards of AIIMS MBBS 2020 at the time of counselling.
With the release of result, the committee will also declare AIIMS MBBS 2020 cutoff, which mentions the percentile marks equivalent to the percentile. The cutoff of AIIMS 2020 for general category candidates is 50th percentile, for OBC category, it is 45%. Aspirants belonging to SC/ST categories must secure at least 40th percentile to qualify AIIMS MBBS 2020. The category-wise cutoff percentile along with previous year corresponding cutoff percentile scores has been mentioned in the table below.

AIIMS MBBS Cutoff for admission - It is the last cutoff rank of AIIMS MBBS 2020 to which the admission to particular AIIMS institute closes. The table below mentions category-wise last rank in all 15 AIIMS institutes.

On the basis of cutoff percentile, the authority will prepare the merit list of AIIMS MBBS 2020. The authority, AIIMS, Delhi will release a roll-number wise and rank-wise AIIMS MBBS 2020 merit list. Only aspirants whose name will be included in the merit list will be called for counselling process. It must be noted that students included in the merit list will be eight times the number of seats available to take care of absentees.
AIIMS, New Delhi will conduct the counselling of AIIMS MBBS 2020 in online mode. Candidates who have qualified the entrance test by securing the cutoff percentile will be eligible to participate for AIIMS MBBS 2020 counselling process. The authority will organise three rounds of AIIMS counselling excluding open and spot rounds. Before the first round of seat allotment, a mock round will also be conducted to give an idea to candidates about the seat allotment process.
In order to participate for AIIMS MBBS counselling 2020 process, candidates have to login using the required credentials. During the registration process, aspirants have to enter their personal, academic, contact and other asked details. Also, these aspirants have to provide their preferences of colleges. Based on these preferences of colleges, AIIMS MBBS rank, availability of seats, reservation criteria and other factors, the seats will be allotted to 15 AIIMS institutes.
The first round of AIIMS MBBS seat allotment will be conducted in the third week of June 2019. Candidates who will be allotted a seat must report at the designated institute for completion of admission process and document verification.
As mentioned, a total of 1205 seats will be allocated through AIIMS MBBS 2020. Out of the total seats, as many as 609 seats has been reserved for unreserved category, while 324 for OBC. 180 and 87 seats will be reserved for SC and ST categories, respectively. In the year 2020, AIIMS MBBS will be conducted in computer-based mode going by the tradition. It will not be merged with NEET anytime soon.
